New data reveals the states most obsessed with fast food, with Nebraska taking the top spot. The research, carried out by PriceListo examined Google Trends data to analyze the past 12 months of Google searches across America for search terms frequently associated with fast food. These terms were then combined to give each state a total score to discover the states with the most fast food-obsessed residents.
The study revealed that Nebraska ranks as the most fast food-obsessed state in America. With a total score of 507 out of a possible 600, Nebraska topped the list due to its population having the highest search levels for two of the six keywords used in the study. For example, the keywords ‘fast food’ and ‘fast food restaurant’ are searched the most in Nebraska. Indiana ranks as the second most fast food-obsessed state in the country. Indiana has the highest proportion of its population searching for the term ‘Burger King’ and the third-highest searches for ‘McDonalds’, contributing to the state’s total score of 499 out of 600. Tennessee ranks as the third most fast food-obsessed state in the country, with a total score of 483.
The study revealed that Tennessee has the fifth-highest level of searches for ‘KFC ( Kentucky Fried Chicken)’ and the seventh-highest level for the term ‘fast food’ in the country. The study found that Ohio ranks as the fourth most fast food-obsessed state.
Ohio has the highest level of searches for the company ‘McDonalds’ and the eighth-highest level of searches for the company ‘Burger King’, giving the state a total score of 481 out of a possible 600. The study placed Alabama next in the ranking, as the fifth most fast food-obsessed state, with a total score of 478. Alabama had the seventh-highest search levels for ‘Burger King’ as well as ranked fifth-highest for searches for the term ‘fast food near me.’
Kentucky, the home of KFC, ranked sixth overall with a score of 477 out of 600 – just slightly lower than Alabama. Unsurprisingly, Kentucky searched for ‘KFC’ more than any other state, but also searched for ‘McDonalds’ at the second-highest rate of any state. The top ten is rounded out by Missouri ranking in seventh place, South Dakota in eighth, followed by Arkansas and Oklahoma in ninth and tenth place, respectively.

Experts at Fitness Volt have highlighted five tips to ease yourself back into a workout routine after the festivities.
Set specific times. Scheduling your workout time is a simple yet effective step. Getting back into the right frame of mind after the Christmas buzz is difficult. Without a gym schedule, it’s likely that you will make plenty of excuses to not partake in any exercise.
Consider your day-to-day schedule and choose your workout slot based on where you have the most free time. You can mentally prepare yourself to avoid any excuses that you are too busy.
Plus, a planned exercise slot will ensure that your workload won’t take over, as it’s a given that you will be getting back into a busy work routine, too.
Don’t overexert yourself. While pushing yourself is usually encouraged in fitness, it’s sensible to not push yourself to the extreme, particularly after some time away from exercise.
Whether it’s weightlifting or cardio, doing too much exercise can lead to overuse injuries including muscle strains and tendon injuries and can make you less capable of meeting your fitness goals.
After some time off, it’s natural to not be able to lift heavy objects or run far. Don’t be discouraged. Stay consistent with your exercise.
Overdoing it can lead to a burnout in the early stages and make you dread a workout as opposed to enjoy it.

Therefore, it’s vital to set goals over shorter time frames that are manageable, as well as not just focusing on your appearance. For example, you may wish to become stronger, so a short-term goal for the end of a month could be to increase your squat load by 45 lbs.

According to research by the American Pet Products Association ( APPA), over 70% of households in the United States own a pet during 2022. Dogs and cats are the most popular pet companions. The research also discovered that 1 in 2 pet owners (52%) would only stay at accommodation that allows furry friends.
Vacation experts at Family Destinations Guide have discovered which cities in the U.S. have the most listings for pet-friendly accommodation. The team took 50 of the most populated cities in the U.S. and used data from vacation rental site Vrbo to discover how many accommodation listings in each city allow pets.

Houston, Texas, takes first place as the most pet-friendly destination in the US, with 478 listings for pet-friendly accommodation. Three other Texan cities also make the top 20:
Dallas has 470 pet-friendly listings, San Antonio has 463, and Austin has 416.
With over 89 state parks, there’s plenty for holidaymakers and their pets to explore.
San Diego, California, came in third place, with 467 pet-friendly accommodation listings. Other Californian cities, including Los Angeles with 440 and San Francisco with 336, also made the list.
There are plenty of dog-friendly beaches to explore along the Golden State, including Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach, Arroyo Burro Beach in Santa Barbara, and Fort Funston in San Francisco.
Two cities in Florida take fourth and fifth place, with Jacksonville having 466 pet-friendly accommodation listings and Orlando having 464.
The Sunshine State also boasts some of the country’s best canine playgrounds, including Dog Wood Park in Jacksonville and Lake Winter Park in downtown Orlando.
Some other cities that scored highly include Phoenix, Arizona, with 458 pet-friendly listings, Chicago, Illinois, with 440 and New York City, with 439.
