A Sologamic Influencer, Cris Galer, criticizes dating apps for curvating superficial relationships.
How people relate to each other changes as the use of social networks intensifies. It is common to hear stories of people who met on the internet, fell in love, and now in a relationship. How superficial is a relationship that starts this way? That’s what Cris Galera, a sologamic influencer criticizes dating apps for curvating superficial relationships.

Galera believes dating apps influence rare relationships and the platforms only demonstrates how people are interested for shallow reasons.

“You can’t get to know someone like that. We see people falling in love very quickly because everything is so perfect through cell phone screens. When they start to live together, people show who they are. That’s why relationships don’t last long, and relationships are more and more superficial,” she explains.

“There, people choose you through photos. They don’t know anything about you, and they believe what the picture shows. It shouldn’t be like this; people are good. But, on the internet, we only show what we want,” she says—more than their bodies.

This means that the superficiality of the tool brings reflections on both men and women. Sologamic, the influencer, went viral a few years ago after marrying herself. Claiming not to find a person particular enough, Cris chose to marry alone to fulfill the dream of marriage without needing someone. “I was always enough, and I was enough for me. So before loving someone, I love myself,” explains the model.

Five ways to advance your relationship with sex

If you are happy in your relationship then talking about the future is only natural, whether it is taking your relationship to the next level and making it official, moving in together, or getting married, knowing when the time is right can be tricky.

How can you communicate with your partner effectively about relationship progression?

Lovehoney has partnered with sex and relationship expert Annabelle Knight to reveal tips on how to talk to your partner about taking your relationship to the next stage and how to know when it’s the right time to progress in your relationship.

How to talk to your partner about the next step in your relationship

Sex and relationship expert, Annabelle Knight shares 5 tips on how to take the next steps in your relationship.

1. Dismiss the idea of right and wrong. When you are talking to your partner about progressing your relationship to the next level it is important to remove any notion of ‘winning.’ This is a conversation not with one partner pitted against the other, but rather two people side by side against the world.

2. Keep your focus. If the conversation begins to spiral or evolve to be about something completely different then agree to take a step back and get back on track.

3. Learn to listen. More often than not we spend time during deep conversations waiting for our partner to finish their sentence, so we can start ours. This prevents us from really hearing what your other half is trying to say. Any important conversations, make sure you tune into their words so you can really hear their meaning.

4. Process properly. After you’ve both said your piece take some time out to process what’s been said, how it’s made you feel and what you want to do about it.

5. Seek clarity. Do not be afraid to ask your partner to repeat any points you do not understand. Moving forward in any relationship relies heavily on understanding your partner, this goes for what they mean when they speak, as well as who they are as a person. How do you know when it is the right time to progress in a relationship?

Knowing when the right time to progress in your relationship can be difficult, sex and relationship expert, Annabelle Knight has created the acronym T.I.S.S – Trust, Intimacy, Security, Support, to help couples figure out if the time is right.

Trust: Trust is a key component of any happy and healthy relationship. It’s also something that is not earned overnight. If you and your partner can, hand on heart, say that you trust one another then it may be time to progress your relationship.

Intimacy: Make sure you and your partner are on the same page when it comes to how often you are intimate and what levels of affection you need from your partner.

Security: we are not talking about burglar alarms, we are talking about how safe and secure you feel with your partner.

Support: Supporting your partner and knowing your partner supports you is one of the cornerstones of a long-lasting and meaningful partnership.

How to express care and support in your relationship

Warm Bath Lingerie
Often a person wants to learn about his/her/their Love Language.

But what is your Erotic Language? Have you heard of the five lust languages? The five love languages, which describe different ways to express care and support in a relationship are physical touch, gifts, words of affirmation, quality time and acts of service.

What Is A Lust Language?
Just as love languages are intended to help us understand how we give and receive love, lust languages offer insight into the myriad ways we experience arousal.

Lust languages, called “erotic blueprints,” are less well-known than love languages but are just as important when it comes to sexual satisfaction.

Your lust language is comprised of all the things that turn you on and off. Knowing your lust language can help boost your self-awareness in the bedroom, improve communication between you and your partner, and give you a better understanding of what excites you — and why.

Certain elements of the four lust languages are inherently sexual, but many are not. Arousal happens in both the body and mind, and is not merely a reaction to physical pleasure. When you understand your lust language, you equip yourself with the self-awareness to ask your lover for what you want in an effective way

The more your partner knows about your lust langage, the more prepared they are to please you. That’s why learning your lust languages together is a great intimacy-building exercise for couples.

What are erotic blueprints, and how do you know which one applies to you? Sex experts at delicto.com discuss erotic blueprints and how they can dramatically enhance your sex life.

Here’s a closer look at each lust language:

Romantic
The romantic lust language is all about being wined and dined. Setting the mood is crucial, as it demonstrates a level of effort that makes a partner feel wooed, wanted, and appreciated. A homemade meal followed by a sensual bubble bath, for example, can be a great way to supercharge arousal and prime the romantic type for a full night of fun.

The road to a romantic’s heart is paved with notes, pet names, and private, personal gifts. They love surprises, particularly acts of passion that show they’re always on their lover’s mind.

Romantic types also love verbal play, so feel free to lay on the sexy words of affirmation. Whether it be sweet nothings over text or intimate talk between the sheets, this lust language responds well to compliments, flirtation, and verbal displays of desire.

Harmonious
The harmonious lust language is like the sexy sibling of the “acts of service” love language. This one centers around support and shared responsibility. If your lust language is harmonious, you feel like you need to be “on the same team” with your partner to feel truly safe and experience uninhibited arousal.

The harmonious type might find it difficult to become aroused if their partner neglects a household chore or forgets to fulfill a promise. They’re more likely to feel ready for action if they come home to clean dishes, bathed kids, and folded laundry.

This doesn’t mean that they’re literally turned on when they hear the vacuum, but for them, desire is sparked by a partner who lightens their load and shares their goals.

Primal
Take everything you’ve learned about the connected lust language and flip it around — that’s the primal type. Passion and living for the moment are the preferred methods of intimacy for this lust language. Excitement and novelty are key to the primal type’s arousal, and a strong physical connection is a must.

Those with a primal lust language might also be into kinks, fetishes, or other taboo forms of play, but not necessarily. One thing that is mandatory is skin-to-skin contact. Primal types feel most aroused by the warmth of their partner’s body and the stimulation of their touch. An emotional connection may be present, but is not needed for a good time.

What Is An Erotic Blueprint?
The concept of an erotic blueprint was coined by somatic sexologist and educator Jaiya, who has spent decades researching the science of arousal and pleasure. According to Jaiya, an erotic blueprint is a map to what turns you on, steamy guidebook to your primary sexual style.

”Just as love languages are intended to help us understand how we give and receive love, erotic blueprints can offer insight into the countless ways we experience arousal. Your erotic blueprint is made up of all the things that turn you on and off. Knowing your erotic blueprint can help boost your self-awareness in the bedroom, improve communication between you and your partners, while giving you a better understanding of what excites you and why.

What Are The Five Erotic Blueprints?
There are five erotic blueprints: sensual, sexual, energetic, kinky, and shapeshifter. Most people identify with one or two erotic blueprints more than the others, but it is common to relate to certain aspects of all of them. The blueprint that resonates with you the most is your primary erotic blueprint, the style that reflects your biggest turn-ons.

What Are The Four Lust Languages?
There are four lust languages: romantic, harmonious, connected, and primal. You might identify with elements of all four lust languages, but if one in particular made you stand up and take notice, that’s your primary language.

Here’s the low-down on each erotic blueprint:Sensual.
The sensual erotic blueprint is all about igniting the senses. What you hear, see, smell, taste, and touch is key when it comes to feeling aroused.

If you have a sensual erotic blueprint, you’re more likely to be particular about your environment when you have sex. Aromatic candles, a warm bubble bath, and a tidy bedroom are all things that can make the sensual type feel turned on and ready for action.

Someone with a sensual erotic blueprint might also like to explore stimulation in areas of the body aside from the genitals. Other erogenous zones like the nape of the neck, backs of the knees, and ear lobes are all potential kryptonite for the sensual type.

Sexual. This straight-to-the-point erotic blueprint is laser focused on nudity, orgasm, and the genitals. If you have a sexual blueprint, seeing a picture of your naked lover might be all you need to go from zero to 100 on the arousal meter. If your partner has a sexual erotic blueprint, it doesn’t mean you should put less effort into turning them on, it is just easier to do.

Taking off their clothes (or your own), touching them, and kissing them could be a surefire path to arousal, regardless of your surroundings. Whereas a sexual type might not mind making love in a cluttered room, the sensual type could find arousal elusive. When it comes to the sexual erotic blueprint, physical.

Energetic. For those with an energetic blueprint, anticipation is everything. It’s the longing that revs the engine of the energetic type, making foreplay particularly important for this style.Teasing, flirting, and building excitement for the sex to come is almost as arousing as the sex itself.

That is why sexting can be a go-to arousal tool for the energetic. Getting hyped up via sexy texts and pictures before a face-to-face encounter can ensure an ultra-horny hook-up.

Kinky. The kinky erotic blueprint revolves around what polite society typically deems taboo or sexually deviant. People with this style often explore role play and detailed sexual fantasies that depart from the “vanilla,” or mainstream.Wax play, bondage, and experimenting with power dynamics may all be found in the kinky type’s arsenal of arousal.

While folks in this category might not need kink to become aroused, exploring these desires can help them experience deeper, more intense excitement.

Shapeshifter. This style brings a little of every blueprint to the table because the shapeshifter feeds off the energy of their partner and often derives the most pleasure from seeing them turned on.The shapeshifter is very adaptable and intuitive and can weave in and out of each sexual style in response to their partner’s arousal.

Of the five erotic blueprints, there might be one or two that you relate to most.  Even if you’re still exploring what excites you, an understanding of erotic blueprints can help you pay attention to how your unique sexuality works, and what is at play when you feel most aroused.

Erotic Blueprint Turn-Offs. An awareness of what turns your partner off is just as important as knowing what turns them on. Knowing your own turn-offs can help you communicate your preference and limits.

Here are some of the most common turn-offs for each erotic blueprint type: Sensual. If you’re a sensual type, your environment has a big impact on your ability to relax, focus, and feel desire. The wrong sensory input can distract you and bring arousal to a grinding halt. Some examples of make-or-break turn-offs for sensual folks are:

1. A messy room TV or music on in the background.
2. Odd smells in the air An aftertaste in your/your partner’s mouth from eating or smoking.
3. An environment that feels too warm or too cold.

Sexual. Sexual types maintain a strong focus on nudity and the physical body. They are straightforward, direct, and as long as sex is on the table, easy to arouse. A few things that might turn off the sexual type are: Prolonged anticipation (if there is too much teasing), Insecurity about their body, A partner’s insecurity or inhibitions.

Energetic. The energetic erotic blueprint centers around anticipation, which means you like to take things slow and build excitement. Here are some mood-killers for energetic types: Skipping foreplay, feeling rushed to orgasm, limited flirting before sex, or fear of dirty talk.

Kinky. Kinky types are all about exploring the taboo. Some surefire ways to turn them off are: Disinterest in exploring kinks/fetishes Closed-mindedness or refusal to try sex toys due to vanilla sex.

Shapeshifter. Any of the turn-offs listed above might apply to shapeshifters, too, but two things that might kill the mood are: Quiet lovers and lack of enthusiasm.

Why Does Your Erotic Blueprint Matter?
Learning about your partner’s erotic blueprint can mean the difference between guessing what will ignite arousal and knowing what will.

When you understand your partner’s erotic blueprint, you are better able to curate the best sexual experience for your partner and self. Knowing your own erotic blueprint arms you with the self-awareness to communicate your wants and needs to a partner. It can also remind you that there is nothing “wrong” with you if you do not become aroused in a certain sexual situation.

Remember: we all experience arousal differently. But that does not mean there is anything wrong with you or your lover.

You may just have incompatible erotic blueprints.
Taking the time to discover what turns you on and off can help you set boundaries in the bedroom and help you live your most authentic sex life, both solo and with partners.

A spokesperson for delicto.com commented on the findings:

“Keep in mind that, like your love language, your blueprint can shift over time as you move through different stages of life. Check-in with yourself and your partners periodically, and don’t forget that communication is always key to good sex, no matter what your erotic blueprint!”

Why Does Your Lust Language Matter?

Learning about your partner’s lust language can mean the difference between guessing what will ignite arousal and knowing what will. When you understand your partner’s lust language, you are better able to create the best sexual experience for each other.

Knowing your own lust language arms you with the self-awareness to communicate your wants and needs to a partner. It can also remind you that there’s nothing “wrong” with you if you don’t become aroused in a certain sexual situation

Remember: we all experience arousal differently. For example, if you know your partner has a harmonious lust language, going the extra mile to help with daily chores can make them feel more receptive to sexual intimacy. You can also better understand why your partner is not aroused in a messy bedroom surrounded by laundry you promised to put away.

Taking the time to discover what turns both of you on and off can help you set boundaries in the bedroom and live your most authentic sex life, both solo and together.

Final Thoughts

Remember your love language and lust languages can shift over time as you move through different stages of life. Do not forget that communication is always key to good sex, no matter your lust language.

Increase Fertility With Key Micronutrients

Unborn baby in the womb

Eat and drinking key micronutrients plays a role in fertility. Dr. Jessica Monroe,  who provides individualized nutrition counseling to support people on their journey to parenthood, believes the right vitamins and minerals will produce healthier sperm and eggs.

Supporting your fertility so you and your partner can create the healthiest baby possible is all about eating and drinking the right nutrients in the right amounts. Recent studies show that optimal nutrition can actually improve egg quality for a greater chance of conception.

Five nutrients that stand out

  • Vitamins B6 and B12. This pair of B vitamins works the ovulation cycle, but they have individual benefits too. One study found that higher B12 blood levels can aid fertility in women who are undergoing treatment for infertility. B6, meanwhile, lowers the level of a certain amino acid, which correlates to higher rates of pregnancy. It also helps promote balanced levels of estrogen and progesterone.
  • Folate. You know all about the importance of folate when you are pregnant, but it is equally important during the preconception stage. Chromosomal abnormalities in the egg during maturation can be the culprit behind infertility, miscarriage, and failed IVF cycles. Supplementing with a high-quality, bio-available form of methylated folate has been linked to shorter times to pregnancy and other beneficial effects on fertility.
  • Vitamin E. It is all about protecting those eggs, particularly as they mature, and that’s where E comes in. You’ll see it in skincare products because of its impressive ability to supercharge cellular repair, and it works similar magic in eggs by fighting against oxidative damage.
  • Vitamin K2. This is another estrogen/progesterone balancer, and it’s particularly beneficial for women with PCOS. In one study, women with PCOS who supplemented with K2 had lower levels of free testosterone and DHEA, which means greater hormonal healing.

Beli Baby focuses on these vitamins and nutrients to improve egg quality resulting in a higher chance of conceiving. Learn more about Beli and how nutrition can fuel your pregnancy journey.

A healthy baby starts from the inside. Beli Women Prenatal offers complete nutrition from conception to pregnancy.

40% of men dream about having sex with a friend

Woman posing with lingerie

Sex dreams are fairly common amongst Americans, allowing them to live out their wildest fantasies in their head while sleeping. As the clocks go back at 2:00am on the 6th of November, giving people an extra hour in bed, provides more opportunities to play out scenarios that are unlikely to happen in real life.

Survey reveals 77% of Americans dream about sex, with the most common dreams involving orgasms and sex with friends

According to a new Lovehoney.com , a sexual wellness brand, survey … 77% of Americans are having sex in their dreams, with common topics ranging from sex with friends, co-workers, and teachers.

The full piece can be found here, including all the juicy details about which cities have the most naughty dreams and which star signs are getting up to no good in their sleep.

Whether it’s getting hot and heavy with a stranger or enjoying sex with a long-time friend, sex dreams are seemingly a common phenomenon for a lot of Americans. Whilst most people know that they like when having sex, erotic dreams are an opportunity to act out our wildest fantasies in secret – meaning they often play into our guilty pleasures. For some, sex dreams are a way to be their truest self, until the alarm interrupts!

With so many different types of people on the planet, each with their own likes and dislikes, it’s safe to assume that the things they dream about in private differ dramatically.

Lovehoney.com surveyed over 2,000 Americans over the age of 18 to find out what they’re really up to when they’re dreaming.

The survey discovered that over three-quarters (77%) of Americans have dreamt about sex at least once, and that, whilst it is slightly more common for men to have sex dreams (85%), the gap is fairly small and women also often dream about sex (75%).

Most Americans have sex dreams 2-3 times per week

The survey found that those who had previously experienced a sex dream tend to have them 2-3 times a week (12%).

These dreams seem to be more prevalent in certain age groups. The majority of respondents dreaming about sex 2-3 times a week were aged between 25-34 (14%) but only 4% of those aged over 55 were dreaming about sex multiple times per week. Instead, the majority in this age group experienced sex dreams once a month (12%).

Las Vegas & San Diego are the cities with the most sex dreams

When it comes to dreaming about sex, it seems that certain cities are more likely to have residents experiencing frisky dreams compared to others.

The survey found that Las Vegas and San Diego are the two US cities with the highest frequency of sex dreams, with residents in these cities having dreams about sex around 10 times per month on average. In close second, Charleston residents had sex dreams 9 times per month.

In contrast, Wichita was the city with the least amount of steamy dreams, with residents in this city only dreaming about sex twice a month on average. Similarly, residents living in Oklahoma City, Seattle, and Milwaukee are also less likely to dream about sex, with residents in these cities averaging at around 2 sex dreams per month.

The top 5 cities for sex dreams

  1. Las Vegas (10 dreams per month)
  2. San Diego (10 dreams per month)
  3. Charleston (9 dreams per month)
  4. Austin (8 dreams per month)
  5. Salt Lake City (8 dreams per month)

40% of men dream about having sex with a friend

When it comes to the subject of these steamy dreams, this differs a lot between people. Dreaming about intense orgasms (37%), experienced by 43% of women and 29% of men.

Sensual nighttime fantasies, with other common dream topics including having sex with a friend (35%) – which was significantly more common in men (40%) than women (32%). In similar veins, sleeping with an ex partner was also common (34%), alongside sex with a complete stranger (32%).

Dreams about taboo topics seem to be more common in men than women, with 24% of men dreaming about sleeping with a work colleague, compared to just 10% of women. Men were also twice as likely to dream about having sex with a subordinate at work (14%), compared to just 7% of women.

Sexual fantasies, commonly explored in pornography, are also common in dreams, with 18% of men dreaming about having sex with a teacher, whilst only 7% of women experienced these dreams. Shockingly, 9% of men and 2% of women had even experienced sexual dreams about their students.

Cancerians, Leos & Scorpios are most likely to have sex dreams

Whilst star signs / astrological signs aren’t for everyone, certain astrology signs are more predisposed to sex dreams.

The difference between sex-dream frequency by star sign was relatively small, however, there were certainly some signs that experienced kinky dreams more than others.

The star signs most likely to have sexual dreams are Cancer (82%), Leo (80%), Scorpio (79%), and Aries (79%).

In contrast, the sign least-likely to dream about sex is Saggitarius (70%).

Top 5 star signs dreaming about sex

  1. Cancer (82%)
  2. Leo (80%)
  3. Scorpio (79%)
  4. Aries (79%)
  5. Gemini (78%)

Dr Justin Lehmiller, a social psychologist and research fellow at The Kinsey Institute also commented on why people may fantasize about certain topics in the bedroom and explains why sex dreams are completely normal and nothing to be ashamed of; “Normalizing diversity in sexual fantasies allows us to set our minds at ease, to feel more confident exploring and communicating about our sexuality, and to experience more pleasure.”

“There’s no set answer on how to ensure sexual happiness and wellbeing as it will be dependant of the situation partly. However there is a strong like to greater sexual wellbeing and sex life when there’s the ability to consent and communicate. This can allow repair when any sexual discrepancies do arise and help individuals, couples, and moresomes find solutions to any issues that do occur.”

Sexual wellbeing and sex life can also be affected by non-erotic wellbeing and making sure we as individuals and in relationships practise non-erotic self-care can help also improve erotic and sexual satisfaction and wellbeing.

“If you or your partner(s) are experiencing any sexual issues that you’re finding hard to navigate, gaining support from your healthcare provider or a psychosexual therapist can be helpful.”

Putin and the weeps of the Western Wall

Putin and the Russian Flag

By Briana Booker

Worldwide people are listening or reading Extracts from Russian President Vladimir Putin’s speech at the annexation ceremony of four Ukrainian regions which are partly occupied by Russian forces. It’s an important speech because Putin makes clear his intentions and complaints. He doesn’t even focus on North Atlantic Treaty Organization ( NATO) expansion. Instead, he mentions the history of the West’s greed, enslavement, and colonization of other nations – one being Russia.

The West is historically known for using its power and influence of finance and technology to disempower marginalized people. Even I have suffered from this abuse of power, openly harassed by those orchestrating anti-semitism, sexism, and racism while instructioning marginalized people and those sexually objectified just for a taste of good opportunity. I’m still standing as a Jewish Afro-Latino, Filipino / Asian American that had a humble beginning and still striving. I know Putin knows of humble beginnings too.

Putin emphasizes the West’s hegemon tax collection and how it:

  • Destabilized countries around the world
  • Created terrorist enclaves
  • And deprived other countries of sovereignty

Putin says the West is waging a hybrid war on Russia with an ultimate goal to colonize the nation state. I don’t know how true that may be but I know a life of freedom and peace is something we all seek. He says the West wants Russians to be a mob of soulless slaves but that is not only a threat for Russians. The West has conditioned its own people to be enslaved by its monetary system through oppressive corporations and statesmen. But Putin cannot forget that if he wants his people to be free, he has to respect the freedom of Ukrainians and all who seek freedom around the world.

We have starving people in the world. We have never ending wars. We have people awaiting reparations. We have people seeking their real identities.

Who made these rules? Who agreed to run the world like this? Who defined the moral authority? Who has the right to challenge referendums that have been violated?

Russia is an ancient country and civilization, like many fallen nation states. Putin makes it clear he doesn’t want to follow or play by these rigged rules.

The speech is 37-minutes long and full of details about:

  • The break up of the Soviet Union
  • Western Colonial Policy
  • Nuclear weapons
  • And Putin’s view of Western morals

The speech is fully of heavy topics but this is what stopped me in my tracks:

The slave trade took my people to America but there were some already here through the genocide of Indigenous tribes in America, who happened to be israelites that crossed over here during the ice age and possibly before when the continents were physically interconnected. Putin blames Western imperialism for the plunder of India, Africa, and the wars against China by England and France. He even mentions how the West hooked nations on drugs. There is even a history of this being done in the ghettos and the hoods of America.

Putin calls it a deliberate extermination of entire ethnic groups. I know because I had family who ultimately died from these addictions of drugs, money, and sex. Putin even touches on how nations and ethnic groups oppress and slaughter each other to possess land and resources. But like many of us, Putin fell to temptation, befriended the west and even played by its rigged rules. President Putin, it is time to stop hunting down Ukraines like animals the way you said the west has done to marginalized people for centuries. Those Ukraines are distant relatives of you and direct relatives of me.

Mr. Putin if you really believe in freedom and justice, help those people praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. They share the same tears as you and me.

It’s even hard to hear the truth that the United States is the only country in the world thus far that used nuclear weapons twice and Japanese cities like Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still recovering. Now this powerful country is worried any nation state will use nuclear weapons at any time because it’s known as the country that cynically calls countries it occupies such as Germany, Japan, and the Republic of Korea allies of equal standing.

“The dictatorship of the Western elites is directed against all societies, including the peoples of the Western countries themselves. This is a challenge to all. This is a complete denial of humanity, the overthrow of faith and traditional values. Indeed, the suppression of freedom itself has taken on the features of a religion: outright Satanism.” – Vladimir Putin

President Vladimir Putin / Mr. Putin , if you really believe in a better way of life and becoming a better man that stands up for these statements in your speech, you can follow us in the wilderness but you must know the lost tribes aren’t staying here. The Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman is changing his ways to become a better man and lead humanity through its next evolution, will you join him?

Pawlak is upfront when it comes to dating and asked a very common question from singles:

Does dating someone mean you are in a relationship?

After studying the topic Pawlak realized many people dwell over the steps of a relationship rather than let it happen naturally.

Does Dating Mean You’re In A Relationship? Is There A Difference?

Black Women and Black Hair – A Love Letter

Briana Booker. Curly Hair.

By Briana Booker

You’re about to make us create a podcast by 2023. Most black women with hair have hair volume. This volume looks different on all of us based on our diverse heritage. Black women who grow out their hair ( not all of us want to or can ). Yes, that volume can be brushed straight or sorta straight. Yes, some of us may want to use chemicals. Yes, some of those chemicals can cause cancer or kills us. So, choose wisely.

But no matter what, we all understand, our hair or lack of hair requires extra care. It’s why we call it the crown. The average black woman is multi-ethnic. Some think only fair complexion black women are ‘mixed’ race but there are many ‘mixed’ dark complexion black americans out there. People just never talk openly about what that means and about race in America and around the world.

A significant amount of Black Americans have traces of Caucasian and other ethnic groups. Yes, I use the word ethnic verse the word race for a reason. We will discuss that in the future.

I am just glad people like the Duchess ( Meghan Markle) are opening up about touchy topics, like hair texture. It’s crazy how the topic of hair is a painful discussion based on how we are treated differently. We sadly live in a very racist and cruel world. But we have the power to change the world and make it better.

One thing I can tell you is this: the Duchess, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, you, and even me can change the world. We can grow our hair volume or show off a bald head while we do it. We can grow afros. Yes, I am related to white women who can grow afros. And Yes, I am still trying to grow a perfectly beautiful afro like Michael Jackson ( someone we noticed went through painful moments while breaking glass ceiling of things we know are racial barriers). Mike, wherever you are now, know I am still figuring a way to grow my fro like yours.
