This past weekend my friends and I came across a great Italian restaurant called Assaggi Mozzarella Bar during Bethesda’s restaurant week! It has been in service since May 1st 2008! What a great find! The concept of the menu is good quality cooking at a great price ( Lunch: $4 to $15 Dinner: $11 to $29 depending on dish, but definitely worth the dollar)! Assaggi makes homemade pasta, fresh seafood, veal and delicious beef! Not to mention, great vegetarian dishes!

Everything is the perfect texture, full of flavor and healthy ( You have to try the bread! It is crispy on the surface and remarkably soft in the center)! It makes you fall in love with the Chef, Domenico Cornacchia, and the staff! They were extremely hospitable!  I was able to obtain the seating I requested for my birthday and they wished me a happy birthday!

The Chef, Domenico Cornacchia. Very fierce!

On the Assaggi Mozzarella Bar in Bethesda , Chef Cornacchia states his goal was to open up his own restaurant that specializes in classic Italian dishes and has an inviting interior design! Assaggi was all this and more! The interior design is warm and welcoming! It is helping me think of some great ideas for my apartment interior decorating project.

I recommend this place for a quiet lunch or dinner with friends, family or with your significant other! Try it out the next time you are in Bethesda! We definitely left happy and full!
