How to change up your look and improve hair health with hair extensions

Sadity Hair Studios best Hair Extensions for Fall Beauty and Fashion

Looking for a change in appearance this Fall? Then you may want to reap the benefits of hair extensions. Yes, getting hair extensions can help you protect your natural hair while helping you feel more confident, sexy and feminine. Sometimes we just don’t have the time, money or energy for high maintenance with our hair. But we can keep it healthy by protecting our hair with extensions.

For example: If you want to change-up your hair color, you can buy hair extensions of various colors or highlights rather than harming your hair with hair coloring and chemicals. When you want a new look, you can take out your old extensions and replace them with new ones.

You can also add length to your hair as extensions can get up to 20”. This is a great way to grow out your natural hair without worrying about breakage or heat damage. The hair extensions will give your hair the protection and time to grow.

If your concern is having volume more than length, you can benefit from hair extensions because the product adds volume without sacrificing movement. This is your chance to get creative and look more vibrant in the process. The best thing about wearing hair extensions: they are reversible. You don’t have to make any permanent decisions.

How to have a younger appearance

best skin moisturizer products for younger and healthier skin

There are a number of ways to look younger and these can include a variety of things. We’ve detailed everything below.

So, whether you want to change your diet, go for a face peel or use a better moisturizer – it’s covered.

Avoid Consuming Excessive Amounts Of Sugar As Part Of Your Diet
The last few decades have been bad for carbohydrates. We first realized that cutting down on the amount of carbs we ate could help  significantly control our weight. We are now realizing more and more that cutting back on the amount of carbs we consume can also help with giving us a younger appearance.

When the blood stream has excessive amounts of sugars in it, they bind to the collage during a process called glycation. This results in the collagen fibres stiffening. A recent study showed that higher blood sugar levels give you an older appearance.

Avoid Going On Fast Weight Loss Programs

Over the past ten years our entire understanding of the facial aging process has significantly changed. We know now that facial aging, instead of just being a problem of simple gravity, is a lot more complex than that. It’s a three-dimensional process where losing volume underneath the skin results in an appearance of excess or redundant skin on the surface.

Loss of facial volume accelerates by rapid weight loss. The aging appearance can also be exacerbated. That’s why the best thing to do is trying to stick with a healthy weight, and not fluctuate too much in either direction.

Begin An Anti-Aging Skincare Regimen Early On
You should start on an effective anti-aging skincare regimen as soon as you resolve any adolescent skin problems.

It doesn’t have to be especially complicated as long as you protect your skin from the sun. As much as 80% of our skin aging is due to environmental factors. The number one cause is sun exposure. Just think about what the huge possible long terms benefits could be if we all started to use sun protection early on.
As you grow older and aging signs start to make their appearance, it’s time to step things up a bit and start to use products containing collagen-stimulating ingredients such as peptides and retinoids. However, when you start developing specific aging signs such as uneven pigmentation, then you need to begin incorporating treatment products that are more targeted such as serums.

You Need To Use A Moisturizer If Your Skin Is Dry Rather Than Drink A Glass Of Water

When we start to age, that’s when our skin starts to feel rough and dry. Many people have the mistaken belief that dehydration is causing the problem, and that they need to drink more water. However, that isn’t what the answer is.

As we grow older, the epidermis- the top layer of our skin- starts to become less effective in maintaining its major function, which is to act as a barrier to the external world and keep the water inside our skin. This results in losing water to the environment, leaving the skin looking and feeling dry.

The problem won’t be corrected by drinking more water. However, a good moisturizer can help.

Use A Dedicated Eye Product For Targeting The Eye Area

The skin around your eyes is very delicate and thin. It experiences constant stress through repetitive actions by the muscles underneath. They are directly underneath the skin, and there is no layer of fat providing some padding in between the layers like there is in other places on the face. This results in the eyes often being one of the first areas that show aging signs.

Foods to Improve Skin

Skin care and Skin Health Tips

Skin, we all have it but some people’s epidermis is a lot more enviable than others. Of course, the quest for great skin is not a low-cost one and the cosmetics industry is worth hundreds of billions of pounds on a worldwide scale.

The sheer number of us forking out for extremely costly products to make our skin more radiant, beautiful and bright is crazy, especially when you consider most people overlook the cause and solution – the foods we eat.

Some foods promote healthy skin while others have the opposite effect. We’re not going to lie and say we have the Holy Grail to great skin, but there are some foods that can lower your cosmetics bill and improve your look, alongside skin treatments according to healthy skin blogs.

Salmon

This fish is full of fatty acids, such as Omega 3. This keeps cell membranes healthy and allows good nutrients in and keeps out the problematic waste products. It’s also good for promotion of natural anti-inflammatory agents that help heal damaged skin. Walnuts and flaxseed also contain plenty of Omega 3, as do other oily fish such as mackerel. Of course, salmon is also full of other nutritional benefits such as potassium, selenium and B12.

Green Tea

The high antioxidant count in green tea is also great for cell membranes and reduces damage and inflammation. It also has cancer fighting benefits. Studies also suggest that it’s full of a chemical called polyphenol, which reactivate dying cells to keep skin at its best.

Blueberries

With the highest level of antioxidants in fruit, blueberries are great for protecting against free radical damage and skin cell disintegration. They also come packed with fibre, vitamin C and a whole host of other nutrients, making them a great food for skin health and overall health too.

Water

Clean water is a sure-fire way to help skin and dehydration is one of the prime causes of skin problems. Water will hydrate the cells and helps them drop the toxins. It also helps to sweat more because sweat keeps the skin healthy. Try and drink around 2 liters of water each day and remember that sugar drinks and caffeine don’t count.

Carrots

We’ve all been told about the health benefits of carrots as children, battered with Bugs Bunny’s carrot eating ways. Carrots are great for healthy skin,  full of antioxidants and vitamin A that help fight against dry skin. Carrots high in fibre also contain a whole raft of other nutrients, including B6, potassium, and biotin.

Great skin comes with a good skin care routine, but also food intake – so, increase your consumption of the aforementioned for a better complexion.

Rihanna Knocks Down Barriers in Esquire UK

And this is how you knock down barriers:

Zie Mim : Some women should just shut the fuck up. If she has a great body and she’s proud of it and wants to show it, what’s the fucking problem??The reason men don’t have respect for women is not because of girls who are proud enough to show their body, like Rihanna, but because of jealous bitches who call each other names. If women don’t have respect for women (which is only because they’re jealous), then how do you expect guys to have respect for women? @RIHANNA, YOU GO GIRL!

And guys who are saying bad stuff about her should also shut the fuck up. Women are not possessions anymore (at least not in normal countries) and they can do with their bodies whatever they want, JUST LIKE MEN DO SINCE THE BEGINNING OF OUR EXISTENCE.”

That Little Black Dress: Healthy Weight Loss Tips

That little black dress by Dr.Aruna Nathan
That little black dress.

Every woman wants to fit into that little black dress. Dr.Aruna Nathan offers sound advice to help you fit into that little black dress, while maintaining good health.

By Dr. Aruna Nathan

Weight loss is often driven by the want to fit into “that little black dress”, a pair of designer jeans or to look sleek and toned in your new athletic ware.

Many may have aspirations that range from having a BMI of 17 (average BMI of a runway model), or looking like a young wide receiver on the cover of a glitzy sports magazine. These unfortunately often are unrealistic and unattainable targets leading to disappointments and have no positive outcomes.

Others who are more “practical” (me included) think of getting to their “ideal body weight”, i.e. what they weighed when they got married (ha-ha, most of us weighed the least then), or the lowest we have been in our adult lives. This too often is difficult to do by most and we stop trying after preliminary trials and lack of immediate results.

Natural Beauty tips: The Benefits of an Orange Exfoliating Scrub

Orange facial scrub

Do you want healthier and more vibrant skin? Most of us do. You can  have healthier and more vibrant skin by using all natural exfoliating scrubs. One of my favorite all natural exfoliating scrubs are oranges. Not only do I love eating oranges but I also love using oranges to maintain  health skin.

Oranges are great for your skin health  because the citrus fruits include a rich source of Vitamin C, which is known for creating vibrant skin.

All natural exfoliating scrubs work! Learn more on the Facebook page: www.facebook.com/fromgirltogirl

I always feel extra refreshed and radiant after my daily orange exfoliating scrub. I do it first thing in the morning and right before bed to help me feel  energized.

It’s easy to make your very own orange exfoliating home right at home. Here’s what you will need:

  • 1 orange
  • 4tbsp of cornmeal
  • A bowl
  • Spoon
  • And a juicer

Once you have all your ingredients, start peeling away ( save those peels). Next, squeeze the juice and pulp of the orange into your bowl ( you can also use your juicer).

Afterwards, add your 4tbsp of cornmeal into the bow of orange mix. This will help you form a paste.

Use the orange exfoliation scrub during your show or bath to clean your whole body. You can also do a quick facial  with your orange exfoliation scrub, if you’re on the go. It only takes a 3 minute scrub to really benefit from the all natural exfoliation scrub.

Each mixture will only last two days because it will spoil. The fresher your mix, the better your skin results. I try to make a new batch every few days.

Try this homemade recipe today and be sure to do it on Valentine’s Day. For more great beauty advice, follow Fromgirltogirl on Facebook ( message us if you would like an order of our all natural exfoliation scrubs). I make them by the week using a variety of natural products.
