Why Should Exclusivity Be Mutual In A Relationship Not One Sided?

When you’re dating someone, NEVER EVER settle for crumbs. Exclusivity should always be mutual in a relationship. Not one sided.

If someone tells you he or she wants to see other people, it’s time to do better and move on. It’s the person’s way of saying he or she doesn’t think you’re a perfect fit, so he or she rather keep options open to see if greener pastures are available.

Don’t even entertain the thought. You deserve better and you already know what you offer and that the grass ain’t greener.

Let the person know your happiness doesn’t and will never revolve around him or her. Love occurs when you find an equal that respects you and your relationship at all times.

The person doesn’t let fear direct him or her and looks around because of fear of commitment.

You’re not second choice. You’re not last minute. You’re not take me for granted. You’re not standby. If someone wants you, he or she must act on it.

Words without corresponding actions are always empty. At all times you deserve a committed partner. Never settle for less.

Let the person learn he or she has to earn affection and commitment from you.

A good relationship is good even when you’re out of sight and mind. A good relationship has loyalty and care from both partners.

Trust me, you don’t want to be with someone that’s confused about if he or she wants to be with you. You need clarity.

Until a romantic interest can give you clarity as what he or she wants with you, the person doesn’t deserve anymore of your time.

All you can do is give the person space to figure what he or she wants.

Enjoy life. Make yourself less available and date other people. Release the person unworthy of you from your life.

You deserve a real relationship…not sometimes but all the time.

MANAGING YOUR PERSISTENT FEARS, ANXIETIES, AND STRESSES

By: Stanley Popovich

Everybody deals with anxiety and depression, however some people have a difficult time in managing it. As a result, here is a brief list of techniques that a person can use to help manage their most persistent fears and every day anxieties.

When facing a current or upcoming task that overwhelms you with a lot of anxiety, the first thing you can do is divide the task into a series of smaller steps. Completing these smaller tasks one at a time will make the stress more manageable and increases your chances of success.

Sometimes we get stressed out when everything happens all at once. When this happens, a person should take a deep breath and try to find something to do for a few minutes to get their mind off of the problem.  A person could get some fresh air, listen to some music, or do an activity that will give them a fresh perspective on things.

A person should visualize a red stop sign in their mind when they encounter a fear provoking thought. When the negative thought comes, a person should think of a red stop sign that serves as a reminder to stop focusing on that thought and to think of something else. A person can then try to think of something positive to replace the negative thought.

Another technique that is very helpful is to have a small notebook of positive statements that makes you feel good. Whenever you come across an affirmation that makes you feel good, write it down in a small notebook that you can carry around with you in your pocket.  Whenever you feel depressed or frustrated, open up your small notebook and read those statements.   This will help to manage your negative thinking.

Learn to take it one day at a time. Instead of worrying about how you will get through the rest of the week, try to focus on today. Each day can provide us with different opportunities to learn new things and that includes learning how to deal with your problems. You never know when the answers you are looking for will come to your doorstep. We may be ninety-nine percent correct in predicting the future, but all it takes is for that one percent to make a world of difference.

Take advantage of the help that is available around you. If possible, talk to a professional who can help you manage your depression and anxieties. They will be able to provide you with additional advice and insights on how to deal with your current problem.  By talking to a professional, a person will be helping themselves in the long run because they will become better able to deal with their problems in the future.  Remember that it never hurts to ask for help.

Dealing with our persistent fears is not easy.  Remember that all you can do is to do your best each day, hope for the best, and take things in stride. Patience, persistence, education, and being committed in trying to solve your problem will go along way in fixing your problems.

Where Is The Game Headed? Post Derwin & Melanie

As you may have heard, Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall are not returning for season 6 of The Game. I was happy that their exit from the show was not a heart breaking one but a loving one.  Derwin decided to go support Melanie his wife  in her pursuit to complete her residency at Johns Hopkins.

The word on the street is that a new couple will not be replacing the Melanie and Derwin role. Instead, two new actors – one male and one female will be playing different roles parellel to Melanie and Derwin’s storyline.

The new female role is the character Kiera, a 20 year old former child star struggling to transition to a successful adult actress.  Casting call is searching for a intelligent and charming actress to take on the role.

The new male role is Bryce, a #1 Ivy League draft pick. He has a Heisman Trophy and he is usually the smartest man in a room. He is sure to put the football team on edge.

Do you think The Game will continue to be a success in season 6 without the dynamic couple Melanie & Derwin?

In my opinion, It will be challenging for any actors to top Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall roles on the Game but only time will tell. The right actress and actor could surely continue the success of The Game.

What are your thoughts? Can season 6 of the Game be successful?

About Andy Suzuki & The Method

Andy Suzuki & The Method are proving that there is still songwriting and soul in pop music. The band’s eclectic instrumentation, featuring electric violin, djembe, and piano, pushes the boundaries of the singer-songwriter genre. Andy Suzuki & The Method capture the energy of Sara Bareilles’ memorable piano melodies, Ben Harper’s thoughtful lyricism, and Dave Matthews Band’s virtuosity, delivering an unforgettable live show.

The band formed at Brown University in 2005 when band leader, Andy Suzuki, met hand-percussionist, Kozza Babumba, through a mutual friend. After playing the college circuit for a few years, the duo met violinist Jason Gorelick in 2008. The newly-formed trio ended up playing their first show at Brown’s most popular venue, The Underground. It was immediately after this sold-out show that the band settled on the name ‘Andy Suzuki & The Method,’ marking their official beginning. The band has been touring the east coast ever since, building a loyal fanbase and garnering rave reviews.

NPR declares, “Andy Suzuki…is blessed with a velvet voice,” and Time Out New York praises the band’s “deadly way with melody.” In 2011, WNYC Public Radio named Andy Suzuki & The Method the #1 band in Manhattan in their annual Battle Of The Boroughs competition, featuring the band in 2 show-stopping performances at WNYC’s Greene Space. TheUrbanDaily.com recently featured Andy Suzuki & The Method in their ‘Top 25 Artists That Need To Be Heard in 2012’, asserting that the band’s latest release is proof that “there is still soul in music.”
