Movie Review: MY BEST FRIEND’S EXORCISM

MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM is now available on Prime Video. Rated R.

If you enjoy 80’s movie themes, My Best Friend’s Exorcism is up your alley for the Halloween season.

The year is 1988. High school sophomores Abby and Gretchen have been best friends since fourth grade. But an evening of skinny-dipping goes disastrously wrong and Gretchen begins to act different. She is moody and irritable. Then bizarre incidents keep happening when she is nearby.

Abby’s investigation leads her to some startling discoveries-and by the time their story reaches its terrifying conclusion, the fate of Abby and Gretchen is determined by a single question: Is their friendship powerful enough to beat the devil?

Fromgirltogirl’s Movie Review

Here at Fromgirltogirl.com, we rate the film 4 out of 5 stars because we think it’s a great spooky season teen movie just in time for the Halloween. It’s a bit nostalgic for us as it reminds us of middle school horror movie nights with friends. It has a decent friendship plot that resonates with teens and whether friendship can stand the test to be loyal to each other or work against each other through the forces of evil.

We absolutely love the My Best Friend’s Exorcism movie soundtrack. The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack from the horror film My Best Friend’s Exorcism (2022) tracklisting is available on Amazon and Apple store, with the original score music composed by Ryland Blackinton .

Special shout out to filipina actress Cathy Ang! Loved seeing her represent Filipino actors, showing the slowly but surely changing scope of Hollywood. Her parented immigrated to the United States and the rest was history.
