Mel was the recipient of the 2019 St. Catherines Emerging Artist Award. An original artist for over a decade, she fondly refers to her breezy signature sound as ‘yacht pop’, a unique fusion of RnB, Jazz, Soul and Funk.

For Mel Monaco, ‘Catching Ladybugs’ is an accomplish she can check off her list of ‘things to do before 30.’ When she was 8, she a made a list of ‘Things I want to accomplish before 30,” which included writing and releasing 5 original records. Mel Monaco just turned 30 and she did it.
