In the spirit of the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Badoo, the world’s largest dating network, has released very interesting findings on dating trends from the U.S. and across the world. Badoo’s 318 million users reveal how dating habits compare and contrast around the world in regards to gender, sexuality, and physical traits such as body type, height, eye and hair color. Here are the key findings from the valuable data:

  • The Most Desirable Traits Worldwide: For female Badoo users across the world, the global findings suggest that men who are between 5’7 and 5’11 (47%), have dark (black/brown) hair (70%), identify as having an average body type (40%) and have brown eyes (52%), are the most desirable characteristics in a partner and most likely to be engaged with online. The findings also suggest that male Badoo users worldwide are more likely to engage with women who are between 5’3 and 5’7 (48%), have brown hair (34%), an average body type (40%), and brown eyes (52%).

  • What Men Want in the U.S.: American women who identify as being between 5’3 and 5’6 (46%) and having brown eyes (60%) are found to be the the most desired traits by American males and are more likely to receive a message. Women who identify as having brown hair (40%) and an average body type (40%) are more likely to receive a message; in contrast, women with blonde hair (13%) and have an athletic body type (6%) attract less attention.

  • What Women Want in the U.S.: The most desirable physical traits by American women are men who identify as athletic (36%), between 5’7 and 5’11 (40%), have brown eyes (61%) and black/brown hair (66%). Women who have black/brown hair (66%) are found to be the most desirable while men who have blonde (6%) and red hair (1%) are the least likely to be engaged with by women.

  • Who Makes The First Move: Globally, while men are still the most likely to make the first move on a dating app, there are some countries where women are increasingly becoming more forward online. When it comes to women initiating the conversation, female users in the United States (36%), Dominican Republic (30%), Canada (25%) and Thailand (19%) and Czech Republic (21%) are most likely to make the first move.

  • The Countries with the Most Singles: If you’re looking to make travel plans and haven’t decided on your destination yet, consider these five countries, which have the highest rates of single users: United Arab Emirates (97.37%), Australia (96.69%), Turkey (96.40%), New Zealand (96.40%), and Kuwait (96.17%).

  • LGBTQ-Friendly Dating Destinations: Need a few LGBTQ-friendly vacation ideas? Indonesia came out on top as the most “open-minded” dating destination when it comes to sexuality, while countries Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and South Africa were found to be the most gay-friendly.

“The results of our first global survey highlight the different reasons people in your area and around the world meet up, and share experiences, interests and friendships,” said Badoo Dating Expert Joey Hadfield.

Girls and Sex: Is there a such thing as too many sex partners?

There is a very interesting article circulating the Internet called ‘Girls & Sex and the importance of talking to young girls about pleasure’. Social acceptance is that girls should only have but so much pleasure because our bodies bring babies into the world and then raise the children into outstanding citizens. Should not society take these factors to account?

Why are less Women making it to Marriage?

This is such a great video on the science and economics behind why there are so many women out here that find it challenging to find decent men. Women simply don’t stick to their boundaries. There’s just too many women making sex too easy to get. Not to mention, a poor economy is making young men feel worthless and they have no idea how to enter manhood.

Watch the video here:

My opinion: Unless a man knows right by his parents or guardian and a woman respects herself, lack of commitment will continue to happen.

There’s nothing wrong with making earning you a challenge for a man. Sometimes it’s good to make him feel uncomfortable so he can grow into the great man he wants to become. Stop making things so easy for men courting you.

Should I enjoy my Man Falling Asleep after Sex?

If you are a woman that gets frustrated after your man falls asleep after sex, you need to reevaluate why you’re mad. Sleep after sex is very natural for a man, especially after you have satisfied him. Be happy that your man is pleased.

I absolutely love when my partner falls asleep, even when it’s not sex related. It’s a beautiful thing to hear his heart beat. It’s a beautiful thing to hear the sound of his breathing. Not to mention, cuddling after sex is awesome. Show your man how much you enjoy him by cuddling and falling asleep along with him.

If you feel restless, give him a back massage. I do it all the time to my partner and he loves all the attention I give him. It’s important to me that he feels loved. Don’t forget to make your man a meal or snack when your man wakes up. It will show him how much you appreciate him putting your pleasure first. Learn more about why men fall asleep after by watching the video below:

He Is Not Your Best Girlfriend. He Is Your Man.

By Briana Booker

In recent months, my thoughts on men have changed for the better. I have always been taught to be suspicious of every man. I have been told from men and women alike, that men “ain’t shit.” Although some men “ain’t shit” others, even with imperfections, are worth lowering the steel walls we, as women, build to protect ourselves.

Those steel walls can prevent us from finding a good man. I would know. I use to keep any intimate partner at a distance to keep “control” of the situation and protect my emotions.

Caring about someone can make you vulnerable if you have no idea where you stand with the person. You learn where you stand by communicating with your intimate partner.

Men and women communicate very differently from each other. The man in my life has taught me that we are different but also the same. Both are looking for the right one. We are also working on personal growth and our careers. Previously, that threaten me in relationships but to see this man grow as an individual is honestly beautiful to me. I want to look out for him. He goes out his way to protect me, even from myself.

An example of this was when I was mad at him not doing something when I wanted him to do it. He instantly asked me why I was mad. I honestly did not have a good reason to be mad besides not getting my way about something petty.

That is when I remembered a few weeks ago we promised each other we would not go to sleep angry at each other as an action  to build the strength of our relationship. I was the one who requested this action be done in our relationship and here I was trying to make an argument over something petty.

This is when I realized my actions matter to someone beyond myself. It was a scary thought but at the same time I felt my soul smile. I kissed him good night and he opened the door. I thought once I got to my car he would have just forgotten about me and went back to what he was doing in his home. Instead I saw him watching me from the window at the front door. I texted him “Why are  you looking out the window?”  He replies back while still looking through the window: “Ha. Just Checking to see if you were ok since you didn’t move.” I told him I could take care of myself. Again, I was falling into old habits from bad relationships with my “I don’t need you” persona I mastered in unhealthy relationships.

But then I realize, he is not my past but my present. So I just smiled and he checked up on me when I got home as well.  It felt good to not only be wanted but that I am cared for by someone who chose me.

I realized the best thing to do is live in the now. Do not linger in the past. And do not think too far in the future. If we are meant to be, then we will be.  We just can not jump to conclusions and keep communicating, even if we fear the unknown.

I was bruised but I was never broken. He shows me it is still okay to bring out the best in me.
