EC3 Inspire Awards Deja Vu Cover

Just last weekend I went to the first annual Inspire Awards Slantress Magazine has ever had! Yes, experiencing the history of an amazing startup magazine leaves me speechless! I had an amazing time and so proud of Debbie Billips, Creator of Slantress Magazine!

The magazine is dedicated to highlighting the stories of women empowering women as well as the Black community.

I wanted to share with you some of the great highlights of the night but there are too many to count. See for yourself on Slantress Facebook page all the great pictures from the night.

One performance that really stood out for me was from the outstanding band EC3 and incredible violinist Chelsey Green! They performed Beyonce’s Deja Vu!

Teaching Women To Fish: Self Empowerment

It has been a busy 2012 so far this year. It has been challenging and uplifting all at the same time. Life isn’t meant to be perfect. It is just meant to be lived. I am starting to learn my calling for my life…I think it is about uplifting and helping people learn that happiness is in our own hands.

I would like to share with you an article I wrote for Slantress Magazine, a Black women empowerment magazine. I wrote this article: https://www.slantress.com/blog/?p=23 from the soul. My soul is telling me it is time I learn to fish. I want to learn to fish for prosperity so that I can teach other people to do the same.
