Lombardo Homes quizzed Americans across generations about basic home-buying knowledge and maintenance essentials. The report found that Americans know some home buying 101 when it comes to home renovation costs and home building expenses.

• Only 27% of people know how much it costs to build a home in 2023
• 1 in 10 doesn’t know what a home appraisal is
• 50% don’t know how long a traditional water heater lasts
