Although I am not a big beef or burger fan, I love trying something new and enjoying different restaurant experiences. I heard great things about The Capital Burger from many people so I decided to give it a go an evening I was spending time in downtown D.C. with my best friend.
What is The Capital Burger?
The Capital Burger is a restaurant which offers an assortment of luxury burgers, boozy milkshakes, and world-class wines to offer burger lovers a fine burger dining experience for lunch, dinner, and happy hours.
One word: impressed. Not only did it feel like I was eating a well prepared steak as a burger, the restaurant in itself is very stylish and the customer service was excellent. We were promptly seated in a beautiful booth and our waiter came to us within minutes. Our waiter was very sweet and gave us great recommendations.
I had the ROASTED WILD MUSHROOM AND SWISS BURGER* : Roasted Portobello Mushrooms, Jarlsberg Swiss, 15-year Aged Balsamic, Truffle Aioli and a Salted Caramel Milkshake. The milkshake was cold but not too icy where I couldn’t enjoy the shake. It was delicious. You do have the option to order Spiked Shakes as well. During my next visit, I will try the Spiked Shakes. I only didn’t try it my first time at the restaurant as I was coming from a networking event where I had alcohol beverages and felt like a few drinks were enough for the night.
My best friend got the GRILLED ALL-BEEF HOT DOG: 1/4 lb. Dog, House-Made Relish, Brioche Bun. I had no idea there was a such thing as a luxury hot dog. My best friend got the Chocolate Milkshake.
Every milkshake is hand-dipped and spun to order.
I highly recommend The Capital Burger for:
