My beloved friend Carrie Averitt is raising money for her friend Bill Beauchamp , who is fighting against ALS( Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) in the Fiesta 5K. ALS, is a disease that affects the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. ALS makes it challenging to control voluntary muscle movement.

Fromgirltogirl would appreciate if our reads can participate in the Packard Center’s Fiesta 5k and Walk event physically, as well as donating money and sponsoring Averitt.

All proceeds from the Fiesta 5k will tremendously benefit the Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins. Any amount can make a difference. Any helping hand matters.

Noted: The Packard Center for ALS Research at Johns Hopkins is a non-profit organization devoted solely to finding treatments and a cure for ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It’s a unique organization on the cutting edge of ALS research and a worthy charity. The Packard Center is supported entirely by philanthropy, and needs our help. Currently there is no cure…help us give hope! – Carrie Averitt
