Music to make you Jam: The Leatherman performed by The Remnants

Leatherman performed by The zremnants

Since 2009, the Remnants have been a growing force in the music industry with each member influenced by a different musical genre and brought together by the love of performing. The Remnants are four-year Gathering of the Vibes veterans and have also taken the stage at venues such as the 2013 and 2014 Woodstock Reunion at Yasgur’s Farm and the legendary Toad’s Place. They will also release their debut self-titled album soon. The band’s mix of original material along with their unique take on cover material provides an unforgettable and exciting experience at every show.

Must See Live Music Sessions: Pick Up and Play

ATB live music sessions

If you love a great jam session, you’ll love Pick Up and Play.

What is Pick Up and Play?

Pick Up and Play is a weekly live session of music videos. It’s a cover series by the Canadian Band ‘Across The Board’. I have to admit, they are awesome at what they do.

If you don’t believe, check out their cover of  The Chain by Fleetwood Mac below ( checkout more awesome jam sessions by subscribe to ATB on Youtube) :

The premise of the show is that Across The Board literally choose a song to cover, learn it and shoot the music video in one session. They are now in their 56th week of production, having started one year ago.

Across the Board Pyramids Cover

The band members are multi instrumentalists and vocalists and sometimes they play musical chairs, switching between drums, guitars, and other instruments, trading off vocal leads. It’s incredible to watch and listeners can help but jam and sing along.

What I love about the band is that they cross through genres of rock, country, indie and pop, ATB covers, write original songs and spend most of their play time online rocking it out to thousands of internet viewers!

They always try to incorporate interesting instruments. This week they are going to feature a Chinese Harp in their rendition of Beck’s “Blue Moon” with guest musician Marlon Chaplin.

To watch their rendition of Beck’s “Blue Moon” visit http://pickupandplay.tv , Across The Board’s main website.

If you love what you hear, support the band and become an executive producer of their weekly web-series at http://www.patreon.com/acrosstheboard . Let us know what you think about Pick Up and Play.

Chris Brown: How hard is it to move forward?

I think it’s important to hear every side of a story because that helps with conflict resolution. Although I do not agree with Chris Brown’s actions at times, I can respect his honesty about how he perceives relationships. Monogamy is hard work. Here is an Examiner article I wrote that I hope helps couples going through trying times or prepares you for those trying times. No one is exempt from relationship challenges – no one. People pretend and they can pretend very well, but we all have our challenging days. Read my article Four words that are more important than the word love.

I am telling you, most young guys are not ready for commitment. Most guys are all about getting it and rolling out. It’s because they haven’t truly discovered themselves. Self development takes time and effort.

Some guys will marry out of fear of being alone. You don’t know what people go through until you walk in their shoes or you decide to make time to listen.

So many people in the world wish someone would just listen, just for a moment. We are all rushing to the next great thing when the present is that great thing. Life is short. Life is wonderful. Life is challenging. Stay positive and great things will come your way. Stay negative and you’ll attract it.

I hope you learn something from Chris Brown’s interview and I hope you learn something from my article.

If you want to take advice from someone, anyone, take advice from people who have already taken your journey or take advice from elders. When you experience life in years, there are things you’ll understand more than what you understand when you’re young and developing.

I often find myself saying if I knew what I know now things would be so much different, but I cannot think on that. I have to appreciate what I have right in front of me and make the best of it. Mistakes happen in life, but you can’t let it destroy your drive. There is so much to live for if you look at things in a positive light.

Blessings be upon you. Stay positive. Stay exploring. Stay kind.

NoGecko Dance: Dance Away the Fat and Tongue Lizards

It’s time to enjoy the fresh air and great outdoors, but you can’t do it in Thailand without getting rid of pests such as lizards and snakes. There is a great spray repellent product called NoGecko that I highly recommend because it is a lizard repellent which does no harm to lizards or snakes, but keeps them off your property by limiting their want to chase and find food near you.

I also like that No Gecko is safe for children and pets and approved by the Ministry of Science of Thailand. The ingredients in No Gecko are 100% natural herbs to make sure the product leaves no contaminants or health hazards to the environment. You won’t have to worry about residue.

To use NoGecko, shake the spray bottle before use. You can spray NoGecko on light bulbs, home appliances, furniture or your car interior.

Check out this cool NoGecko dance and try it out in club sometime:
