They ( the Homosexual community fighting for marriage rights) argue that marriage is something everyone recognizes, the “gold standard” of relationships, while civil unions are confusing.  Marriage has been around for a long time and civil unions, a new idea, simply do not command the same respect and donot convey the same meaning in society. Do you agree?
