About the book Sewing the Rainbow

Sewing the Rainbow is about Gilbert Baker and the creation of the rainbow flag. The book takes readers on a journey from Baker’s childhood in a small town in Kansas to his historic artistic career in San Francisco. We now see that flag around the world. In short, the book shows that when you see a rainbow flag, you’ll know it’s okay to be your colorful self. We recommend Sewing the Rainbow for ages 4-8.

Here’s a new heartfelt video from acclaimed pop singer, Maggie Szabo entitled ‘Don’t Give Up On Love.’ The video is a love letter of support to the LGBTQ community and tells the story of a transgender high school student attending prom. It’s a touching and relevant narrative.
