When I was growing up, nobody really used K-cups except those searching to save money and get more out of the day. The old way of doing things was to make coffee in the morning to last until brunch or lunch hour at the business or at home. Fast food breakfast hours stopped within the 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. but a pot of coffee was no longer the best way to reap the benefits of drinking coffee because you waste more money and lose the benefits of fresh coffee.

I started regularly using recyclable K-cups for my coffee because it gives morning moments to talk to my husband about science and the world. As a child, I would mostly use K-cups for morning coffee with my grandmother because she was trying to figure out ways to make K-cups more of a must have than a pot of coffee.

I told her spotlight the benefits. She said ‘show me.’

Coffee by the pot was more popular than K-cups.

K-cups came with only a few options for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate … high quality ingredients, expensive by cent.

I thought it was odd to drink a single serving because most people and businesses bought coffee by the pot supplies to host events, keep workers alert, and notice coffee buddy groups.

My Husband the Math and Science Man

Well, you know where this is going…

I like to sip and smile at him because it reminds me the moment I realized I was falling in love with this guy that said he would be my husband. I didn’t even know what a husband was… I looked it up in the dictionary.

I didn’t meet him at a job. He was just always at my grandmother’s house. Then he was everywhere. He knew where I lived… even when I wasn’t at my grandmother’s house. Then he knew where my other grandmother was… then he left gifts at my parents house for me.

Where is this going?

Did I need a rest break or did I deliberately delay a day for this man to be my husband?

I mean, I had to make time for me to notice this man is in the running to be my husband. But somebody told me, I could have husbands plural.

But that seems like people scoping out your family.

Anyways…

The load gets heavier as we prosper because we’re building. But it was easier with just the two of us. Then people who have a bunch of grand children say the kids take care of you so you can enjoy life.

Is marriage and family still worth everything money can buy?

Absolutely. Most of my generation still don’t have a spouse, kids, or home property.

That means the economy needs to do better.

It’s not on my watch that it’s bad. Don’t blame me.

I’m waiting for my parents to ask me when is the son-in-law helping them during retiring years.

Well, it’s this year mom & dad. Here’s your requirements:

1. Acknowledge you have a son-in-law
2. Acknowledge you are grandparents
3. File a police report if you did anything to get your kids in and out of debt because you were afraid your enemies and child abusers would hurt you.

Because now I do have to fix this economy because it’s your daughter coming into power with your son-in-law and the grandchildren (maybe). But we told you a decade ago this would be.

My hard work is already paying off. Just making sure people can’t deny my husband, my children, or my accomplishments anymore by making sure everyone comfortable trapping my husband and children in some destructive narrative can’t anymore.

You have no right to exploit and harass my family.

Well, I have to get back to formal duties because you aren’t spending your money right… citizens of the USA.

Thank you husband for being there from day one. How did my husband spend more than a decade telling you to stop lying that you don’t have a son-in-law. He’s trying to get you out of debt so your children can finally enjoy their lives rather than being assaulted. We aren’t doing this anymore because I have a household to tend to as well.

But my husband told me to see how you all were doing for a decade as if I weren’t a wife or mom. It’s too long. I miss your son-in-law and your grand baby.

Eh, the first half was rough because we’ve been preparing for our 2nd half, you know… when all our hard work starts paying off.

I remember when the kids would drink coffee alternatives just so they could laugh at us being romantic in front of them. I was drinking coffee  daily when I was less than 7 years old. Stopped making it a daily ritual in middle school and made it an occasional habit in high school.

But I kept falling in love with this man who drinks coffee.

So even when he is busy making money for the family, I still love staring at him. Eh, it reminds me of how much I love him.

I mean, he gave me the best thing I been searching for all my life:

Love.

But my husband asked me when my looks would fade. I figured in my 30’s.

And we’re just getting to the great parts of our 2nd act.

Well my looks haven’t faded or my intelligence

Well, my looks haven’t faded or my intelligence. But the ones bragging about being in my husband’s face… their intelligence and looks really did fade. They wasted their youth chasing my husband, my children, and me.

Now, they don’t have anything. I mean, they even hooked up with my brothers just to see if they could trick the public about who is really Princess Diana’s Daughter. She only had one daughter. And now grand sons and grand daughters.

Princess Diana already gave you funds to go to school and open businesses.

So what I am saying… is stop stalking her children who are now adults, with spouses, and their own children. It’s been more than two decades… and I’m still being stalked and threatened by women interested in my brothers. Those women tried to get me killed on Capitol Hill (2018 to present) with the help of men still searching for wealth.

How old are all of our kids?

We’re still the dream team.

So Husband…
