Cancer Survivors Day: Gearing Up for 2015 Ride to Conquer Cancer

National Cancer Survivors Week is truly a celebration of life. This week I had the opportunity to share music, food and conversation with cancer survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends to share music, food and great conversation.

If you are fighting cancer or your life has been touched by cancer in any shape or form, know that life is just as inspiring and rewarding after beating cancer.

The past 2 months I have worked hard to get the word out of The Ride to Conquer Cancer. Cancer has affected so many people I love and I hope someday Cancer research will help us conquer cancer. The Ride to Conquer Cancer is only days away from its kickoff, but the Suburban Hospital Team still needs your help before the end of Friday! The 2014 Ride to Conquer Cancer is a 2 day, 150 mile cycling journey through the National Capital Region benefitting breakthrough research at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital . I am working on a project & I would love all Fromgirltogirl readers help truly make a difference. I am the head of the digital fundraising for The 2014 Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals.

On September 13-14,2014 The RTCC riders will ride 150 miles through the Nation’s Capitol region. In some shape or form cancer has affected all of our lives through personal experience – parents, kids, siblings,friends or all the above.

You can help be part of the journey by joining us on the ride, volunteering as a crew member or simply support the team with a 100% tax-deductible contribution.
