Cancer Survivors Day: Gearing Up for 2015 Ride to Conquer Cancer

Cancer Survivors Day Stories

National Cancer Survivors Week is truly a celebration of life. This week I had the opportunity to share music, food and conversation with cancer survivors, caregivers, family members, and friends to share music, food and great conversation.

If you are fighting cancer or your life has been touched by cancer in any shape or form, know that life is just as inspiring and rewarding after beating cancer.

Here are pictures from “Seeing the bigger Picture”, a free event for cancer survivors and their loved ones hosted by Johns Hopkins affiliate Suburban Hospital:

Thank you to all who attended Suburban Hospital ‘s Seeing the Bigger Picture on Thursday, a free event celebrating life…

As we celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day, I hope you will join me in sponsoring causes that help drive cancer research forward.

Please consider sponsoring Team Suburban in the September Ride to Conquer Cancer, a 2-day, 150 mile ride raising money for cancer research and care right here in our community.

In 2014, Team Suburban raised $121,672.47 for Ride to Conquer Cancer for a total of $2.6 million in the Capital Region. We hope to exceed that goal this September.

Sponsor Team Suburban today ( I will share stories, photos and videos in the upcoming weeks to give you an inside look on preparing for the Ride):

How to Support The Ride to Conquer Cancer benefiting Johns Hopkins Medicine Cancer Centers

I am working on a project & I would love all Fromgirltogirl readers help truly make a difference. I am the head of the digital fundraising for The 2014 Ride to Conquer Cancer® benefiting Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals.

On September 13-14,2014 The RTCC riders will ride 150 miles through the Nation’s Capitol region. In some shape or form cancer has affected all of our lives through personal experience – parents, kids, siblings, friends or all the above.

You can help be part of the journey by joining us on the ride, volunteering as a crew member or simply support the team with a 100% tax-deductible contribution.

Please consider donating today to members of Team Suburban Hospital.

So I have helped raise $57,254.43. Our goal for Team Suburban Hospital is $135,233.33. I need your help to not only meet that goal, but  exceed the goal. There are over 30,000 subscribers to Fromgirltogirl. If we all could give at least $1 or more to a Team Suburban Hospital, we can help conquer cancer.
