Week Highlights: Military health panel discussion on suicide prevention with Tom Ridge, Maj. Gen.

This Wednesday, November 16, Community Health Charities is hosting a panel discussion on Military and Veterans Health Concerns at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Corporate Citizenship Conference. The event “Exploring Cross-Sector Collaboration to Advance Military, Veterans, and First Responders’ Health” will highlight the current state of military, veterans, and first responders’ mental and physical health in the U.S. – including suicide prevention, PTSD, the effects on women and minorities and more – as well as identifying gaps and collaborative solutions.

Tom Ridge, First Secretary of Homeland Security will be the keynote speaker. Brigadier General Allyson R. Solomon, USAF (Ret.) and Major General Mark Graham, US Army (Retired), Senior Director, Rutgers UBHC National Call Center will be panelists as well. Heather Nauert, Fox News is the Moderator for the panel discussion. Thomas G. Bognanno, President and CEO of Community Health Charities, Kerri Childress, Vice President of Communications, Fisher House Foundation and Marianne Downs, Manager, Military and Veteran Programs, Corporate Community Relations, Lockheed Martin will be present.  The panel discussion is from 5pm – 6:15pm EST at Ronald Reagan Building (1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington, DC ).
