The Wu-Tang Clan makes Music an Art Literally

I am a major fan of creative thought and the Wu-Tang Clan really caught my eye with this great music promotional idea to sell only one copy of their top-secret album. Yes, read that sentence again. This has never been done in music history and I think it’s incredibly awesome.

The Wu-Tang Clan has been working on this top-secret album called ‘The Wu-Once Upon A Time in Shaolin’ for years. The only copy of the album will sell for millions.

Only a few months ago did Beyoncé and Jay-Z show us #NewRules to this music game and the Wu-Tang Clan is joining the party.

What’s really cool about this single copy of the album is the double disc LP container – it’s a hand crafted container by Yahya, a in-demand British Moroccan artist. Yahya is known for doing art work for royal families in elite members of society. The whole creative music process Wu-Tang Clan is undergoing is  legendary. It’s art in every sense of the word.

If you want to get a listen and touch of this single copy LP, you will have to pay a visit to some museums, galleries and festivals in the United States. Having a look and listen will estimated to cost between $30-$50. The Wu-Tang Clan secret album is 128 minutes long. Music is art and The Wu-Tang Clan want to keep that art alive.

What are your thoughts? You dig it or nah?

Here’s a  Wu-Tang Clan Throwback. Enjoy!
