Whether I am going to the hair salon or doing my hair, I make sure I keep my hair healthy and ready to style. As a Caucasian Black woman, how to style my hair in different ways based on the weather and my overall health.
I have natural hair highlights. When I was a little girl people would ask me who did my Caramel Macchiato highlights. I mostly notice my natural highlights during the spring and summer but I do let my hair salonist do my full hair of highlights.
I am not going to lie… I do have some gray but I always did. The sun brings out my natural highlights but it really brings out the hair salon highlights. I just notice the gray more because I am older but the gray helps the Caramel Macchiato of my hair come out. It’s really a caramel blonde I get from my moms.
When I want to flex on ’em, I let my hair salonist bring on the summer highlights.
I drink a Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino when it’s hot and cold outside. I can also drink my Caramel Macchiato when it’s raining. It helps me keep my body temperature well balanced while I am in the hair salon. Wash my hair. Bring on the heat. Style my hair. I am done. I am continuing my day.
I’m a wife. So don’t ask me who paying for it because we are a household. I already did that pay my way or my parents pay my way when I was young. And if you are husband make sure the mistresses are dropped and they don’t get any pay check or money from you. It’s called Zero for a reason. Play that Chris Brown… I coined Blasian, so why wouldn’t I play Zero?
Oh, my husband better bring some money to my hair salonist and my family ( the ones I acknowledge). We are serious.
I love my husband so don’t get me started.
So, back to my Caramel Macchiato story.
On-the-go, I get that Caramel Macchiato at coffee drive-thru. You get the best Caramel Macchiato is at the drive-thru. Interview me on Youtube or TV if you want to find out why. We can do it in real-time if you want to do it. But it will be on my territory.
When I skip the drive-thru I just recreate the coffee bar classic right at home.
I enjoy the combination of rich caramel and delicious creamy vanilla bean notes swirled together. It helps keep my teeth clean throughout the day because you can enjoy a Caramel Macchiato hot or cold. I like my Caramel Macchiato cold but at home I like my hot coffee and my Caramel Macchiato Frappuccino.
Add guilt-free flavor to coffees, lattes, protein shakes, smoothies, baking, and oatmeal.
The dark and fiery “Kinda Like It” from Reya is about stepping into the villains shoes after being disrespected for too long.
Reya has garnered acclaim from the likes of Earmilk, Wonderland Magazine and Atwood Magazine.
Here at Fromgirltogirl.com, we absolutely love the how the vocals play like heartbeats and waves against the musical instruments. You can’t even tell it’s a song about relationship break ups for all the right reasons. But you can feel the self-empowerment of taking control of how you self-care by moving through life situations as they come to bring you back on top in your life.
Reya is a London based dark pop artist whose music speaks from the depths of her heart. With Chilean heritage, Reya roots play a huge role in music innovation, with the artist having recently rebranded after previously creating music under a different name.
The singer is releasing 6 singles and playing on Norwegian national radio and BBC this year.
She explains, “The underlying theme in ‘Kinda Like It’ is taking back control by saying no thank you to certain behaviours and taking charge. This change can be so difficult, however living for someone else and not yourself is even more difficult in the long run. Choosing yourself is always worth the growing pains.”
Reya confides, “It was written during a time when I felt like I constantly got wronged by a person, and I put up with it for too long. Essentially, it’s a way of taking the power back from my abuser, and giving it to myself, and liking liking the control that comes with me becoming a better me.”
Having garnered acclaim from the likes of Earmilk, Wonderland Magazine and Atwood Magazine, to name a few, this new chapter for Reya is already proving to be an explosive one.

Listen to the single ‘Split Decisions,’ from Toronto R&B artist Kiana. This new single is about making the uncomfortable decision to let go of someone you believe is better off without you because someone else is more gentle with your lover’s heart.
Kiana has been featured Teen Vogue, Rolling Stone, Lyrical Lemonade, and Ones to Watch. She has earned over half a million plays globally.
‘ Split Decisions’ comes from an act of selflessness and a desire to put the other person first so that they can find someone who is genuinely capable of loving them.
It’s the guitars and the smooth vocals that make this a summer hit. My brother Anthony Booker and my husband are the guitarists on this song. It was originally made for pop, R&B singer Rihanna with lyrics written by Princess Diana’s Daughter. It’s perfect for vacation in Euroasia and the USA.
Kiana shares, “The verses are almost like flashbacks that reminisce over memories and is vulnerable in the reality that when you let go of someone – you do continue to think about everything that you had, what could’ve been, and you learn to understand yourself and the other person more when the situation is done with.”

Northern Californian musician Mr. Grossman (Mark S Grossman) has announced the release of his new EP/mini-album entitled “Novella,” containing four new original tracks with a wide-ranging experimental approach. The collection also showcases the artist’s more vulnerable side, as he lyrically turns inward and channels his inner storyteller. “Novella” is best described as“stories about people dealing with the past love, needing courage, comfort, and closure.”
The eclectic Mr. Grossman turns from the political theme of his first two tracks to the personal. These four songs are about people dealing with love, past and future, looking for courage, comfort and closure. On the opening track Chana Matthews gives voice to a searing portrait of a woman burned by past relationships, daring herself to get back into the game. The second track, Escape, is like an offer of encouragement and solace to the first. The music is a mix of modern R&B and pop, with echoes of Sade, Smokey Robinson and John Legend. There are also classical Easter eggs (Duruflé and Brahms) for good measure.
