Lauryn Hill is back on the scene with song “Repercussions”.

By Briana Booker

Word on the street is that  soulful songstress Lauryn Hill is back on the scene! Some assume this new release track may be an unreleased track from 1998’s album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, the track still makes noise with present day music goers!

The track is almost three minutes long. It has a nice piano twinkling to the sound. It sounds as if the recording is a live percussion. The lyrics discuss issues on being born into a racist world, matters of perception and karma. It has been about 12 years since we have heard much about Hill.

It has been rumored Hill has been off the scene due to motherhood and the hostile record industry pushing her to conform to mainstream music demands.

Hill wants to improve her vocal range and sing more. She wants to expand context rather than singing over beats, which appeared even with her The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill album.
