UPDATE ON SEATTLE COP PUNCHING TEEN.

By Briana Booker

Nameless teen apologized  privately on Friday for shoving Officer Ian Walsh. The officer accepted her apology. However, King County prosecutor, Dan Satterberg, charged the 17 year old girl as a juvenile with third-degree assualt. This gives her potential to be punished for a maximum of 30 days in dentention. Satterberg implied an officer should never be pushed, period.

In addition, Officer Walsh is under going better training and has been re-assigned. Co-workers of Officer Walsh have justified the punch as reasonable because of the crowd forming and him defending himself against two women(one 17 and the other 19 years old). Marilyn Levias, the original 19 year old that should have been arrested has kicked a deputy sheriff in the stomach before, however she was not the one that was punched.

Maybe both sides should have apologized to one another? Let me know your thoughts.
