Best Beverages: Casmara Club

Do you love to drink soda? If yes, you have to try Casamara Club soda. It is soda but better because the Casamara Club Sodas are soft drinks beverage lovers can enjoy when it is time to wind down and sip a delicious drink.

It’s Soda, But Better: What Makes Casmara Club Soft Drinks Special

CASAMARA CLUB

Casmara Club Soda is beverage people grab to drink delicious, transportive flavors that take them back to places they have been, remind them of meals they have had, and remember moments they have enjoyed.

The Casmara Club soda(s) are made with real ingredients, sourced from all over the world and minimally processed in small batches. There are no industrialized “natural flavors” or alternative sweeteners in any of the Casmara Club drinks – no stevia, no monkfruit, and no aspartame or erythritol. Industrial ingredients are too perfect, their edges sanded down for mass appeal. Real ingredients evolve, surprise and delight drinkers.

Casmara Club founder Jason La Valla and Head of Production Erica John work and rework recipes for months and carefully adjust the balance of ingredients, one drop at a time – until they start to meld and twist, taking on a life of their own. They search for new, unique flavors and aromas on the border between the familiar and the extraordinary until they find something special enough to share.

Jason La Valla (founder) and Erica John ( Head of Production) believe soft drinks should be as easy-drinking and thoughtfully made as any natural wine, craft beer, or small batch spirit. It is there way of showing soda can be playful and enjoyable each and every time in leisure or while on the go.

They make the botanical amaro club sodas so people can drink the soft drinks straight from the bottle or can. Casmara Club Soda (s) also make great mixers.

Or if you like making drinks as much as you like drinking your favorite drink recipes, try these fun Casmara Club drink recipes for your next social gathering.

There there are so many fun, complex alcoholic drinks out there, the options for good drinks without alcohol are still relatively limited. Give Casmara Club a try today and follow @CasmaraClub on Instagram.

2023 is the start of the new year and a perfect time to focus on your health and refresh your look. If you wear eyeglasses or want a new pair of sunglasses, shop Pair Eyewear. This eyewear provider believes wearing the same thing can be dull and that change is good. Hence, it offers dynamic eyewear to help you look stylish and meet your needs.

About Pair Eyewear

Pair Eyewear founders Nathan Kondamuri and Sophia Edelstein, help glasses wearers eliminate the perception that glasses are a glaring medical device. Instead, Stanford University grads like to show glasses wearers how eyewear can be an extension of their personalities. Pair Eyewear was born in 2017 after Nathan and Sophia interviewed hundreds of kids and adults about their eyewear wants and needs. From these conversations they came up with solutions that meet the medical need and style demand. The pair started the company when they secured $12 million in Series A Funding. The company now makes more than 60 million a year, according to records since 2021. Read Pair Eyewear focuses on adult glasses as it takes in $60 million for more information. Why are Glasses so Expensive?

One problem the Pair Eyewear team had to resolve was keeping eye wear affordable for all ages. The eyewear industry is dominated by a single company that has kept prices artificially high, especially for kids eyewear.

By circumventing traditional channels and designing glasses in-house, Pair Eyewear is able to provide the highest-quality eyewear that kids and adults want to wear, at a fraction of the price.

[REVEALED] Most popular World Cup baby names

World Cup soccer ball on fire. Futbol.

The most popular World Cup baby names are revealed
Ever wondered if your name means you are more likely than others to achieve sports greatness or to represent your country at an international level?

After Analysis of 92 years of World Cup players (Almost 8,000 names analysed), the most popular futbol (soccer player names) in World Cup history was revealed by by Gamblingngo.com , which looked at the names of each player (including benched) in every World Cup tournament from 1930 to 2018 to determine the most popular player names in World Cup history.

Top 10 Most Popular World Cup Player Names José
Findings show that José is the most popular name in World Cup history, with 89 players.

One in 100 World Cup players is called José. It is the Spanish form of Joseph. Examples include Argentine player José Luis Brown who scored the opening goal, which led his team to victory against West Germany in the 1986 World Cup final.

Carlos is the second most popular name, with 79 players. It is a variant of Charles, meaning “free man”. Carlos Verri, aka “Dunga”, led the Brazilian national team to a World Cup victory against Italy in 1994, lifting the World Cup trophy. He managed Brazil twice afterwards.

Luis is the third most popular name, with 56 World Cup players. Meaning “renowned warrior.”It was once in the top 50 US names. The current manager of the Spanish national team, Luis Enrique, represented Spain in three World Cups: 1994, 1998 and 2002.

Mario. There are 48 Marios throughout World Cup history, which is the fourth most popular name. It was once an United States of America (U.S.) top 100 name, but its popularity began falling a few years after the first Super Mario game was released in 1985. German player Mario Götze scored the winning goal against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup and made a surprise return to the 2022 national team.

Roberto. As the fifth most popular name, there have been 46 Robertos in the World Cup. Its English variant, Robert, was once the number-one name in the USA. Roberto Baggio was a star player for Italy and transferred in 1990 for a record £8 million. He won the Ballon d’Or in 1993 and appeared in Pelé’s list of the 100 greatest players.

John. Originally a biblical name, John has stood the test of time. There have been 44 players with this name in the World Cup. John Barnes, now known as a pundit, made his World Cup debut for England in 1986 during the quarter-finals against Argentina, where he assisted a goal for Gary Lineker.

David. The World Cup has seen 43 players named David in its history. David is a Hebrew name meaning “beloved.” Two of the most famous players include Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea and English midfielder David Beckham, who both broke records during their careers.

Peter. Behind John and David are 42 World Cup players named Peter. Meaning “rock,” it might be no surprise that two famous goalkeepers carry this name. Peter Schmeichel and Peter Shilton represented Denmark and England, respectively, at the World Cup, and both held the record as the most-capped player in their national teams.

Juan is a popular Spanish name and the ninth most common in the World Cup, with 41 appearances. Argentine player Juan Verón and Spanish player Juan Mata made multiple appearances at the World Cup and inherited their names from their footballing fathers.

Jorge. Rounding off the most popular names at number ten is Jorge, with 39 World Cup players. It is the Spanish and Portuguese version of George meaning “farmer.” Chilean midfielder Jorge Valdivia represented his national team in World Cup 2010 and 2014 and was praised by Pelé and regarded as one of the best in the world by Carlos Valderrama.

A spokesperson from Gamblingngo.com commented on the findings:

“Football fans dream of representing their national team in the World Cup. This study highlights the most common names to appear internationally throughout history. Classic names, mainly Spanish and Latin, make up the most popular names. It is not apparent that these names dictate skill. However, legendary players will likely continue to influence the names of future footballing generations, much like how the popularity of the name Cristiano soared as Ronaldo rose to prominence.”

Methodology: Data was gathered from a public World Cup database containing almost 8,000 player names in each World Cup tournament from 1930 to 2018. Formulas counted the names to determine the most popular World Cup names in history. The database can be found here: https://github.com/jfjelstul/worldcup

Guide to trading indices with CFDs

Europe stock exchange displays on mobile phone.

CFD stands for Contract for Difference. It is a type of financial derivative that allows traders to speculate on market movements and potentially profit from them without having to own the underlying asset. When it comes to CFD trading, we often hear about single Stock CFDs. A trader has an eye on the stock, and instead of buying shares, they buy a CFD and speculate on its price movement. We can do the same thing with indices. In fact, this is what people refer to when they talk about indices trading or index trading.

What are Indices?

To begin, we need to define indices. An index is a benchmark that covers and tracks the performance of a basket of stocks that share a characteristic. This can be market cap, geographic location, sector, industry, or even something extremely specific – like an overlap of all the above. Indices are helpful because they give traders a perspective on the overall health of the market they want to focus on.

Famous Indices around the world: North America

There are famous indices around the world, and they mostly revolve around tracking large cap stocks in each country or region. This gives traders the ability to track how the overall market is performing in each region. For example, we have all heard of the NASDAQ Composite Index. It is a stock market index that includes almost every single stock listed on the NASDAQ. It is a great indicator of how the entire stock market is performing, and many traders use it as a tool to predict how the US economy is doing.

Another famous index in the US is the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIJA). It is an index comprised of stocks from the 30 biggest companies listed on stock exchanges in the US, and it is one of the oldest and most-followed indices.

Europe and Asia

In Asia, we have the Nikkei 225 which tracks the 225 leading companies in the Japanese equity market. We also have the Hang Seng Index that tracks Hong Kong’s 50 largest companies in the city, and more.

In Europe, we have the EURO STOXX 50 that tracks 50 blue-chip stocks from 11 countries in the Eurozone. We also have the DAX tracking 40 major blue-chip companies in Germany, the FTSE 100 tracking the top 100 companies on the London Stock Exchange, and many more.

MENA

In the MENA region, we have the MSCI Arabian Markets Domestic Index, which tracks large and mid-cap companies across the 11 Arab Markets countries. These countries are Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates. We also have the Dow Jones MENA Index, which tracks the performance of companies in the same 11 countries. On top of that, we have more specific indices, such as the MSCI United Arab Emirates Index that tracks the performance of large and mid-cap companies in the UAE market.

How to Trade Indices with CFDs

When people speak of trading indices, people often mean trading indices with ETFs, CFDs, or other derivatives. In this article, we will focus on trading Index CFDs.

To trade an Index CFD, you need to buy a contract from a CFD provider. It will allow you to speculate on an index and potentially make a profit when the market goes your way. As a trader, you will need to pay a commission (depending on the broker you trade with). The bulk of the contract is dependent on the spread. This is the difference between the bid price and the offer price at the time of buying the contract.

To open and close a CFD trade, a trader will need to purchase a contract first. They then have an open position. This type of contract does not have an expiration date, which means that it is up to the trader to decide when to close their position. This can be within a day, a couple of days, a few weeks, or even months. However, most traders tend to close out their positions within a reasonable timeframe, because some brokers may incur overnight charges for every night the position is left open.

When the trader sees that there has been significant market movement in their favour, they can close their position with a second trade where they take the opposite position. For example, if a trader’s first trade is a long position (buying), they will take a short position (selling) to close out their trade. Conversely, if their first position is a short position (selling), they will take a long position (buying) to close out their position.

Why do people trade Index CFDs?

There are a few reasons people trade Index CFDs.

Large exposure and decreased risk

Firstly, people trade Index CFDs for exposure. When you speculate on an index, you are speculating on the average performance of a basket of companies tracked. This means that individual company performance does not have that big of an impact on the performance of your investment overall. This not only means you can speculate on a bunch of stocks at the same time, but also decreases your investment risk.

Focused investment

Another advantage for traders is that they can focus on the development of a specific region, country, industry, or sector easily. The index automatically tracks the performance of all companies that share a characteristic. If a trader wants to focus particularly on companies in developing economies, they can do so. If another trader is a tech enthusiast and want to see how tech companies are doing in the US, they can do so as well.

Flexibility in taking positions

A third advantage is the flexibility people have in taking positions, which allows traders to benefit from both bullish and bearish markets. If a trader sees that the index has been rising in value, they can take a long position. If they see that an index is doing poorly, they can ride the wave and take a short position. Either way, they can potentially make a profit.

High leverage

Finally, one advantage for the (more adventurous) trader is the use of high leverage. When one trades Index CFDs, they can trade with leverage as high as 50:1. This allows them to trade position sizes with very low margins – in other words, they only need to put down a low amount at the outset. High leverage can also translate to higher profits when the trader’s speculation is correct, which is a huge advantage. However, a higher leverage can also lead to higher losses if the trader’s speculation turns out to be incorrect. Therefore, it is best to use leverage cautiously.

Get started trading Index CFDs

If speculating on the performance of indices instead of owning individual stocks sounds appealing to you, you may want to give Index CFDs a try. You can do this with a local broker or an international broker that operates in the UAE, such as Saxo. Look up the available indices you can trade and set up a trading plan that can help you make the most of your trades. If you are on the fence about trading Index CFDs, you can also read up on the topic before committing.

How Saving a Life Saved a Business

Dr. Praeger and Dr. Somberg’s dads, medical partners and cardiothoracic surgeons, conducted emergency surgery to save a man’s life. They wound up also saving a business. After a successful operation, their fathers became friends. Later, the patient introduced their dads to the owner of Ungar’s Heimeshe Gefilte Fish Company. The heart specialists were hooked.

After acquiring the company (while keeping their busy medical practice) the pair launched Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods® to provide nutritious, delicious, and convenient frozen foods. They wanted to offer food that tasted good and would make it easier for people to adopt better eating habits.

Now, 25+ years later Dr. Praeger’s Sensible Foods® still remains true to the company’s original mission and values to use quality ingredients to make great-tasting products that families love.

Fitness expert shares Top Winter Exercising Outside Safety Tips

Running in the winter. Woman exercising during the winter.

Fitness expert shares top safety tips for exercising outside during winter.

Christmas is soon and many will be focused on getting a head start on their New Year fitness resolutions as snow and ice are guaranteed for many in the United States of America ( USA) throughout December.

It is important to take safety into consideration when exercising outdoors.  Matthew Magnante, an exercise author at FitnessVolt, has compiled a list of his most important safety tips to keep in mind when exercising outdoors during the colder months.

Drink Even If You Don’t Feel Thirsty

When exercising in colder temperatures, we are at an elevated risk of dehydration. Our blood vessels constrict when it is cold to reduce the amount of heat lost through our skin, as a way of maintaining our core body temperature. During this process a hormone called plasma arginine vasopressin(AVP) that normally signals thirst, is secreted at a lower rate than when exercising in hot weather. This explains why you might find yourself craving water less when exercising in winter.

Research has found that exposure to cold weather can reduce our thirst sensation by as much as 40%. To prevent dehydration, continue to drink water as you would during summer and opt for a glass of water before heading out and continue to sip on a drink throughout and after your workout. Also, don’t forget to fuel your body with food before exercising outdoors. You typically burn more calories in cold weather to maintain your core body temperature, so it is important to prioritize nutrition if you want to maintain energy throughout your workout.

Opt for Polyester not Cotton t-shirts

If you find yourself prone to sweating while exercising, cotton is one of the worst materials you can wear when the temperatures drop. Cotton is highly absorbent which means that as you sweat the material tends to stay wet rather than drying out. Water conducts heat away from the body up to 25 times faster than air, which means you will lose body heat much more quickly in colder temperatures and increase your risk of developing hyperthermia.

Moisture-wicking materials such as polyester or wool will keep you warmer because their fibres absorb less water, and dry out quickly. Polyester fibres are designed to insulate you even when wet by trapping a layer of air between the fabric and your skin, while the shape of its fibres are designed to remove water. A three-tier layering system works best, comprised of a base layer such as polyester, a main layer such as wool and a waterproof outer layer that repels rain, snow and wind. This way you create multiple layers of insulation while allowing sweat to move through the layers and evaporate into the air rather than clinging to your clothes.

Cut your sessions in half

Running on snow and ice engages different muscles to running on dry ground, due to the reduced friction and uneven surfaces. Consequently, you are likely to put yourself at risk of injury if you try to complete your regular running distance without first adapting to the new conditions. A good rule of thumb when running on icy routes is to halve your regular running distance until you have adapted to running on slippery or uneven surfaces. Allow yourself 4-6 weeks of regularly running on snow or icy terrain, before you start to build back up to your regular running distance.

Reducing the distance between each step will also help to keep your feet under your centre of gravity and allow you recover more easily should you lose your balance. As you become more comfortable on these surfaces, you can gradually widen back up to your regular stride.

Say where you are going
Even for the most confident among us, it is important to let someone know where you are going before you head out on a walk or run during winter.

Stretch Before and After Exercise

Stretching before you exercise is particularly important in winter, as your muscles tend to contract to conserve heat, which makes them more prone to injury.  Try to incorporate dynamic stretches before you head out for a winter run, to increase your muscles’ internal temperature and reduce the risk of injury. Body weight squats, calf raises, and good old-fashioned jumping jacks are effective dynamic stretches that get the blood flowing and increase your core body temperature, before you head outside. Post workout, you want to perform static stretches, which require you to stretch and hold a muscle group for 15-30 seconds. Static stretches also help to reduce injury but should only be used as part of a cool down routine, to help lower your heart rate and relax your muscles. Common static movements include hamstring stretches, quad stretches and calf stretches.

Cut Your Sessions in Half

Running on snow and ice engages different muscles to running on dry ground, due to the reduced friction and uneven surfaces. You are likely to put yourself at risk of injury if you try to complete your regular running distance without first adapting to the new conditions. A good rule of thumb when running on icy routes is to halve your regular running distance until you have adapted to running on slippery or uneven surfaces. Allow yourself 4-6 weeks of regularly running on snow or icy terrain, before you start to build back up to your regular running distance.  Reducing the distance between each step will also help to keep your feet under your center of gravity and allow you to recover easier should you lose your balance. As you become more comfortable on these surfaces, you can gradually widen back up to your regular stride.

Tell Where You Are Going

Even for the most confident among us, it is important to let someone know where you are going before you head out on a walk or run during winter. For iPhone users, you can temporarily enable location sharing on the Find My App which will enable family, friends or your partner to track your location should you slip and injure yourself while exercising on ice or snow.
