Girls and Sex: Is there a such thing as too many sex partners?

There is a very interesting article circulating the Internet called ‘Girls & Sex and the importance of talking to young girls about pleasure’. Social acceptance is that girls should only have but so much pleasure because our bodies bring babies into the world and then raise the children into outstanding citizens. World Water Day: How to save water while brushing your teeth

Colgate Every Drop Counts save water campaign
#EveryDropCounts to save water and planet Earth

Today is World Water Day and more than ever people around the world need to find better ways to save water. To support the cause Colgate, American workers as well as families are encouraging others to save water by turning off the faucet while brushing their teeth. Water is one of life’s most basic needs, yet it’s essential to our survival. In many regions of the world, water is an increasingly scarce resource.

The fact is Americans who leave the water running while brushing their teeth waste up to four gallons of water. This is why Colgate developed a “Save Water” campaign to remind people who every drop counts. Since 2005, Colgate has saved enough water to fill 7,300 plus Olympic sized swimming pools by encouraging people to do these three easy steps:

  1. Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth
  2. Make a personal pledge online to save water and help family, friends and co-workers do the same by using #EveryDropCounts to signify saving four gallons of water
  3. Spread the word to save water and make those around you aware of the importance of water conservation and encourage people to learn more information at Colgate.com/EveryDropCounts

To put it short, the small act of turning off your faucet while brushing your teeth can make a big difference in the world. We can all do our part in combating global water shortages.

As for oral hygiene, The American Dental Association recommends brushing your teeth for two minutes twice a day. Turning off the faucet while brushing your teeth can save up to 3,000 gallons of water per year – that’s nearly 50,000 glasses of water. Use the hashtag #EveryDropCounts to show us how you save water.

Fromgirltogirl teams up with the Department of Defense

The civilian population has been undergoing healthcare reform for the past few years. Never in a million years did I think Fromgirltogirl would be involved in healthcare reform, but for the government of the United States…it’s surreal.

I am excited to learn and be involved in Public Relations and Digital Marketing efforts for the Defense Health Agency of the Department of Defense (DoD). My goal is to help make the Armed Force Health Surveillance Branch become the central epidemiological resource and global health surveillance proponent for the U.S. Armed Forces as the entire military health system undergoes healthcare reform. The AFHSB’s military service and federal liaison officers provide timely, relevant, actionable, and comprehensive infectious disease surveillance information to promote, maintain, and enhance the health of military and military-associated populations. You can check out my progress and explore lessons in digital market research with me by following the Armed Force Health Surveillance Branch on Facebook today.

I already love that I’m finally using my major in International Studies in my work efforts. See this test infographic in regard to the growing cases of MERS-CoV in Saudi Arabia as related to my region of specialty the Middle East:

As of 9 MAR 2016, 1,758(+30) cases of Middle East #respiratory syndrome coronavirus (#MERS-CoV) have been reported, with…

And of course you can find excellent research resources via our surveillance snapshots of global diseases as well as military population case studies:

Do you spend most of your day at a computer? Remember the 20/20/20 rule. Every 20 minutes, take a break for 20 seconds and look at objects 20 feet away. It’s also a good idea to stand up and walk around every 20 minutes! #SaveYourVision #MilHealth

Posted by Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch-AFHSB on Thursday, March 10, 2016

In April I will begin a major web marketing campaign on heat injury. I would appreciate your support in my efforts to improve the military health system for all our service members who sacrifice their safety to protect our nation and families on the daily.

Find a cure for Leukemia & the miracle of God

Charisma Bush

Leukemia is a blood cancer that hinders the body’s ability to fight cancer. Some leukemias are slow-growing while others are aggressive. God willing, someday there will be a cure for not only Leukemia but all cancers. My cousin Charisma has been battling Leukemia for a long time coming and now God has given her rest and she won the battle by being in the presence of the Lord. Learn about the treatments scientists are looking into to find a cure for Leukemia. Right now there is no effective cure and many patients pass away if the first line of treatments fail with cancer returning.

Find a cure for Leukemia
Until we meet again. Love you always Charisma.

The Homecoming of Charisma

The Hebrew word shava means to cry out loud, to shout to #God as#Jesus did on the cross but the Bible reminds us time after time to not hold on to the pains and sorrows of this life. Instead, God promises to bring us up out of the grave and into the morning where sickness, pain, sorrow and death no longer exist. But where is this day? They say luwn the Hebrew word for only a stop over. It’s only a stop over. This indescribable joy is only a stop over.

My beloved cousin Charisma has made a fine service to the Lord as a child of God, a loyal #wife, loving #mother, grand-daughter, daughter, sister and cousin. Our#Leukemia Warrior, #Lupus advocate and everything else in between is someone who made this life journey all the more meaningful. And just like all the women in our family, never afraid to speak her mind or fight for what’s dear to her — #family. Every person who has ever been healed or lived on Earth has died. Even #Lazarus, the soul Jesus raised from the dead, died again. One of the hardest lessons we learn in life is that God doesn’t promise that our present bodies, whatever their condition, will stay healthy or last forever.

Instead, the Lord our savior promises us something more glorious and precious: a new body, like our present one, but also different, a body made for #eternity, for#paradise. This human body is like an earthly tent we live in and take down — when the Lord calls us home we die and leave these bodies made from dust in exchange for our home in #heaven, an eternal body made for us by God and not by human hands. My cousin #Charisma is a Fashionista and on this day, God gave her rest from illness and put on her heavenly body like new clothing. It’s not that she wanted to die. None of us want to die, but to slip into her new body so that the dying body will be swallowed by everlasting life is a day we all pray for in our hour of need. So we hold tight to 2 #Corinthians 5:1-4 , pray for my cousins soul, pray God for the strength for our entire family and all the lives that my cousin has touched.

Team Bush Family - Charisma Bush
God bless and protect the faithful of the Lord.

Words of encouragement to baby Eliana

I know you’re not old enough to read, write or understand Eliana but I want you to know your mama loves you with all her soul. Eliana, your mother will look over you through all the days of your life and meet us all again when the Lord makes it so. Your mama has prayed for you since she was a little girl. Charisma always wanted a little family of her own and the Lord saw that she see that day. You are our family’s miracle baby and always will be. You’ve given us all hope and joy even before your first breath of air and you look just like your mama, grand mama and aunt. And even the days of your Mom’s last human form, your mother was alert of her love and care for you even through sickness. I can’t tell you what tomorrow brings but I can tell you, you come from love and a place of #faith. Know that the Lord, your mom and family will be here with love no matter what days come ahead.

Thank you Lord for the gift of Charisma

Charisma, I thank the Lord for the privilege of having a soul like you for a cousin, crossing paths with me in this lifetime for both the laughs, tears and even a cold, wet morning to see the first black President of the United States. My heart feels heavy from what ifs, but my soul feels comfort in the way you lived this life for#God and family. I believe in #heaven and the greatest miracle of God. I know with God there’s no such thing as an unhappy ending because the Lord makes all miracles possible. Everlasting better days are ahead with the Lord. I find comfort that loved ones that have crossed over before you will greet you in #paradise and never again will tears run down your eyes or feel pain and anguish. When it’s my time to come to the Lord, I pray you, Anthony and each one of our beloved family find ourselves in the Lord’s Kingdom, greeting with open arms. In the Lord I pray, amen, amen. You can leave a note to the family here.

‘Charlyism’ | How humanity truth fights Lupus

Remember reading about our great book find “Chakoelet Dragon” by L. Charlie Despanza? Despanza has exciting new content to share in 2016 with her new website Charlyism.com coming out this year. The website will feature real knowledge, empirically derived. She is creating the website to help people search for the truth and get as close as they can to finding the real facts. Despanza found inspiration from a dance student in Saudi Arabia of the name Alex Jackson. Jackson said Despanza always tells the truth about the world and when she doesn’t know the answer, she does her research so she can come back and explain it to anyone who needs to know. This is why Jackson asked in class “What is our ‘Charlyism’ for today?” Thus came the name for the website. Watch the cool promo video of her website dedicated to making people more aware about Lupus. The website will be up by the end of January and her second book will be complete in March.

Spreading Lupus awareness with Charlyism

You may also want to watch her video Water, Air and Food which brings a call-to-action to stop subjecting the public to experimental food, drinks and other environmental hazards. Knowing where your food is grown, ready, manufactured and which preservatives get included matter. Knowledge is power. Let us know what you think of the video:

You may also want to listen to Charlie Despanza’s song ‘Loopy Lupus Day.’ She wrote the song to move people and make them feel joy even with fighting Lupus.
