New Study: 50% of Americans say Bad Drivers are on the road

When you start learning how to drive, there is so much to learn. From basic maneuvers to road signs, could you pass if you had to re-take the driver’s education test today?

A new report found many Americans are not able to identify basic road signs, and 1 out of 3 said they deal with a bad driver every time they hit the road.

Reading Road Signs. Which road signs do you know? Which road signs do you not know?

Almost 50 percent of Americans say they think there are more bad drivers on the road than there are good ones. 67 percent say they think drivers have gotten more aggressive over the past year. 92 percent say they’ve witnessed someone texting and driving. Just 16 percent admit to texting and driving themselves.

Miseducation when learning how to drive has gotten so bad that almost a quarter of Americans have had to call 911 about an impaired driver on the road.

Drivers are torn about how often people should take driving tests. More than half think they should be tested every 5-10 years, but nearly a quarter say drivers should never be tested again after getting their license.
