A new study reveals the most popular Christmas party dress colors in each state of the United States of America.

Christmas Party Dress in America

Green is the most popular color of Christmas party dresses in America, with 13 states searching for the color more than any other color of dress.

10 states are searching for red Christmas party dresses putting it as the second most popular color.

The third most popular color Christmas party dress is gold, with seven states searching for it.

New research has revealed what color each state looks for when buying a Christmas party dress, with green dresses proving to be the most popular as a result of 13 states searching for the color over any other.

The research conducted by fashion experts at Karen Millen analyzed Google Trends data to establish the most Googled Christmas party dress color in each state.

The analysis revealed that green Christmas party dresses had the highest number of searches in Alabama, Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

In Florida, Louisiana, New York and North Carolina the most searched color of Christmas party dress is emerald, a bright and vivid shade of greenGreen party dresses have been a favorite at many Christmas parties over the past few years, as they are traditional, fun, and the perfect choice when adding a splash of colour to a festive wardrobe.

Red party dresses are often a go-to at Christmas, which is why many shades of red are used for the perfect festive party dress. This study has found that shades of red, including burgundy and maroon, are the most popular colors for Christmas party dresses across 10 states, contributing to the high ranking of red dresses.

The states solely looking for a red Christmas party dress are Hawaii, Nebraska, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming. Burgundy Christmas party dresses are the most popular color dress in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Texas, leaving maroon as the favorite color of Christmas party dress in Ohio.

Gold Christmas party dresses are the third most popular dress color for the festive season. Seven states searched for the color more than any other, including California, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Oklahoma.  Delaware is the only state searching for a champagne color Christmas party dress, with the other six states are searching purely for gold.

The fourth most popular color Christmas party dress is a tie between both black and white, as each color has five states searching for them.

The states searching the most for a black Christmas party dress include Maine, Michigan, Rhode Island, South Carolina and South Dakota.

The states searching the most for a white Christmas party dress include Arizona, Connecticut, Iowa, Kansas and North Dakota.

Pink Christmas party dresses are the fifth most popular color, with four states searching for it the most. These states include Arkansas, Indiana, Maryland and Nevada.

The sixth most popular color Christmas party dress is a tie between both blue and purple, as each color has three states searching for them the most.

New Hampshire is the only state searching the most for just a blue Christmas party dress, but the two other states searching for navy blue, a dark shade of blue, are Missouri and New Jersey.

The states searching for a purple Christmas party dress the most are Kentucky, Massachusetts and Oregon, placing purple in joint sixth place with the colour blue.

Commenting on the study, a spokesperson from Karen Millen said:

“The festive period is filled with events where attendees want to show up and stand out, which is why it’s so important for many people to find the perfect Christmas party dress, and it’s not always as easy as it looks.

Using Google and social media to find inspiration is one of the most commonly used ways to figure out what’s hot during this exciting time of year, which is why this data offers a fascinating insight into which color Christmas party dresses are the most favored and are trending the most across America”.

Insider Look: Influencer Undergoes One Cellulite Removal Cosmetic Procedure

Social Media influencer, Wanessa Moura, caught attention from her followers after saying that she wanted to upgrade to her booty. Moura recently underwent a procedure on her butt to remove one cellulite. After seeing photos of other patients using the GoldIncision technique, she decided to perform the intervention. Having cellulite bothered her constantly.

“I noticed from the photos of other patients that the treatment also left the bum with a hydrated appearance, with illuminated skin. That caught my attention,” explained Moura. She mentions that, despite being thin, this doesn’t exempt her from comments about her body or natural marks. For her, the best thing is to ignore other people’s opinion and focus on her own wellness.

“The important thing is to choose to do these treatments for yourself and not for others. I try not to listen to these opinions. I know it wasn’t a large amount, but that little hole bothered me. I looked when wearing lingerie and paid even more attention when putting on a bikini. I heard from others that it was silly, but today, after checking the result, I don’t regret it.”

It’s worth remembering that GoldIncison is an effective treatment and that it has become the darling of women. This is because, in addition to treating the appearance of the skin, it also treats the causes of cellulite, such as localized fat, circulation difficulties and sagging, resulting in benefits from the simplest to the most serious cases.

After the successful cosmetic intervention, the influencer did a new photo shoot with only football’s players stickers, alluding and honoring the World Cup 2022. She took the opportunity to show off the excellent result she had with the procedure.

“Now I have a much smoother, brighter and completely hydrated,” declared Moura.

Experts Reveal How To Look Well Rested With No Sleep

May be an image of 1 person, tree and outdoors

We all know that a good night’s sleep is vital to looking our best and being healthy but sometimes things happen and we end up running on empty for the day.

Dark and puffy eyes and sallow skin are tell-tale signs that you have had no sleep. Whether it’s due to illness, work stress or getting up at night to look after the kids, there are ways to look fresh even after a night of poor quality sleep.

We all have had days we have spent looking exhausted. Some of us pile makeup on.

Health experts at Amerisleep share five simple and natural tricks they use to look refreshed after a bad night’s sleep.

Drink powdered magnesium, or bathe in magnesium salts.

Not getting the recommended eight hours of sleep per night can lead to higher stress levels and inflammation. This will make your eyes look puffy and your skin look tired. Magnesium is an anti-inflammatory and anti-stress mineral. Magnesium has a natural antioxidant effect which aids oxygen uptake, electrolyte balance and energy production.

Add powdered magnesium citrate to a mug of hot water and sip throughout the day. It will help to reduce tiredness and fatigue, and will also help maintain healthy bones and muscles.

If you have more time, take a quick bath with magnesium salts. The salts will soothe your tired muscles, lowering inflammation and minimizing puffiness.

Apply a Quick Coffee Scrub

Drinking coffee is typically the go-to for the sleep deprived. The caffeine may perk you up for a while, but coffee has dehydrating effects which won’t help your skin.

At Fromgirltogirl.com we drink Oaza Cold Brew because it contains electrolytes.

Instead, why not make a simple coffee face scrub?

How to make a Coffee Face Scrub

Combine a cup of ground coffee and two tablespoons of sugar it’s best to use brown sugar as it is more gentle) then add enough coconut oil and mix until the scrub feels like wet sand. Then, gently scrub your face.

The coffee and sugar both act as exfoliants, which will help to rid your skin of dullness, while the caffeine will help get rid of dark under eye circles by causing the blood vessels to constrict. The scrub will last up to two months if stored properly in an airtight container ( must be located in a cool, dry place).

Hydrate, Exfoliate, and Massage

Start by drinking 20-30 ounces, or between 2.5 and 3.75 cups, of room temperature (or slightly chilled) lemon water. Water wakes up the body, flushes out toxins, and combats puffiness. In the shower, exfoliate with a gentle scrub to get rid of dullness by making the skin look bright and dewy.

If your skin still looks puffy, lightly massage the skin while applying a serum or moisturizer. Focus on moving the lymph fluid from the center of your face towards the periphery.

Curling your eyelashes will open your eyes up even more, and a bold lip color (i.e. fuchsia or red) will brighten up your face.

Splash Cold Water, Drink Green Tea

Splash your face with ice cold water. This will brighten your complexion and tighten your skin. Around your eyes, try applying a cream with green coffee extract or rosemary, which will help to de-puff and increase circulation.

Try drinking green tea rather than your morning coffee. Coffee has no health benefits and won’t hydrate you. Green tea is packed with antioxidants and will keep you hydrated. It also contains caffeine, just not as much as coffee does.

Dab organic grapefruit essential oil on your pulse points (wrist and neck), which studies show could cause people to perceive you as looking younger and fresher.

If you wear makeup, choose foundation instead of concealer. A light layer of foundation all over is the quickest and easiest way to look alive in one step, as this will even out your skin tone.

Reduce Swelling with a Cold Compress

The eyes are usually the first signs of a fitful night, followed by the skin.

To combat dullness, exfoliate and moisturize. A skin spritzer can help to wake up your skin and keep you looking fresh. It doesn’t matter whether you use a canned water mist or one from a skincare brand. The cool liquid can feel energizing, too.

For the eyes specifically, makeup will only go so far. If you have time in the morning, apply cool cucumber slices or wet tea bags. Green or black tea is best, because the caffeine helps, especially if the tea has been in the refrigerator before applying to your eyes. This will help ease swelling and increase blood flow.

Finally, a workout can help give you a boost, although if you’re tired it might be the last thing you want to do.

Black Women and Black Hair – A Love Letter

Briana Booker. Curly Hair.

By Briana Booker

You’re about to make us create a podcast by 2023. Most black women with hair have hair volume. This volume looks different on all of us based on our diverse heritage. Black women who grow out their hair ( not all of us want to or can ). Yes, that volume can be brushed straight or sorta straight. Yes, some of us may want to use chemicals. Yes, some of those chemicals can cause cancer or kills us. So, choose wisely.

But no matter what, we all understand, our hair or lack of hair requires extra care. It’s why we call it the crown. The average black woman is multi-ethnic. Some think only fair complexion black women are ‘mixed’ race but there are many ‘mixed’ dark complexion black americans out there. People just never talk openly about what that means and about race in America and around the world.

A significant amount of Black Americans have traces of Caucasian and other ethnic groups. Yes, I use the word ethnic verse the word race for a reason. We will discuss that in the future.

I am just glad people like the Duchess ( Meghan Markle) are opening up about touchy topics, like hair texture. It’s crazy how the topic of hair is a painful discussion based on how we are treated differently. We sadly live in a very racist and cruel world. But we have the power to change the world and make it better.

One thing I can tell you is this: the Duchess, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, you, and even me can change the world. We can grow our hair volume or show off a bald head while we do it. We can grow afros. Yes, I am related to white women who can grow afros. And Yes, I am still trying to grow a perfectly beautiful afro like Michael Jackson ( someone we noticed went through painful moments while breaking glass ceiling of things we know are racial barriers). Mike, wherever you are now, know I am still figuring a way to grow my fro like yours.

1 in 10 Americans never wear sunscreen

Did you know more than 1 in 10 Americans admit to never wearing sunscreen?

During the summer, many people spend time outside and forget about protecting their skin.  When protecting your skin from sun damage, it is important to check for brown spots, wrinkles, and sunburns when you feel you have had too much sun exposure.

If you do not protect your skin, the risk for skin cancer increases. Remember, skin cancer does not discriminate by race or gender.

Do Americans take sun safety seriously? Not much, according to a new study from Advanced Dermatology.

Key Highlights

  • More than 1 in 10 don’t wear sunscreen at all.
  • 2 in 5 men (39%) rarely or never use sunscreen on their body, compared to 28% of women.
  • 44% of women say they use sunscreen on their face most or all of the time, compared to just 15% of men.
  • 72% have never been checked for skin cancer by a doctor.

More than 1 in 3 (34%) Americans say they’ve been sunburnt in the last year.

What are the body parts Americans burn the most?

53% report getting sunburnt on their shoulders and back. Reoccurring sunburns may be cause for concern. Only 54% of Americans are concerned about getting skin cancer and of those concerned, 87% say they do not get annual skin cancer screenings.

Women Who Influenced the Beauty Industry

Madam C.J. Walker Quote about product marketing for black history month

The multi-billion-dollar beauty industry has evolved over the years, with astonishing women strengthening it along the way.  Whether it’s the physical product or the way we market that specific product, female businesswomen have revolutionized marketing ideas and trends in cosmetics. From Chanel No. 5 perfume to Kylie Cosmetics makeup, there are notable takeaways from the entrepreneurial mindsets that these women have passed on that can be relevant and significant to anyone.

The team at FragranceX created this great roundup of the business lessons we can learn from women in the beauty industry. From company founders to beauty and social media influencers, they’ve highlighted some of the top women in the field and the tips they have to help you climb the corporate ladder.

Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown started her cosmetic company in the 1980s, and it still continues today. She found what was at the time a niche market, women who prefer the natural look, and marketed her products towards them. The biggest takeaway from how she structured her business was her idea that no matter how high up you are, “no job or task is too small or beneath you.”

Michelle Phan

Michelle Phan, back in 2007, promoted beauty through YouTube and her video content. This was the rise of influencer marketing through social media, not only changing the beauty industry but the business market as a whole. With the quote “influence is power – if you have influence, you can create a brand.”

Madame C.J. Walker

Becoming the first female self-made millionaire in America, Madame C.J. Walker created a company tailored to African American women. She believed that as good as you think your product is, failing to focus on marketing will prevent the success of your business.

Women have made tremendous impacts on the beauty industry and will continue to find innovative techniques to benefit the future of retail.  These were only a few of the powerful women, so below is an image detailing many others who have made it.
